Honey Honey
It's over really. Villa and Bournemouth are probably gone. Both would do well just to get 6 more points. Watford and West Ham are unlikely to be caught if they win just 1 of their last 4.
Smiley Culture
Bournemouth and Villa simply have to win this evening to stand any chance of survival, otherwise it’s all over with, IMO. Bournemouth looked abject against United at the weekend, though Tottenham have been poor for much of the season. It’s potentially one of those games that are a good advert for why all games aren’t televised. Villa have looked woeful all season, unfortunately, so I don’t fancy their chances this evening. Administrator Stan Posted July 11, 2020 Author Administrator Share Posted July 11, 2020 12 points left on offer for the season. Norwich will be officially relegated if they don't win. If they draw, and Watford avoid defeat against Newcastle, then that will relegate them too. Brighton can confirm survival if win and Bournemouth/Villa fail to do so. Administrator Stan Posted July 11, 2020 Author Administrator Share Posted July 11, 2020 West Ham vs Watford next Friday is a 6-pointer. They probably both will survive but a win for either will secure it.

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted July 11, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted July 11, 2020 What an abysmal failure Norwich have been. Have to ask questions of the manager surely? They've got way more individual quality than other teams that have bottomed out with 20 points. Their problems were evident in the first game of the season against Liverpool and they never addressed them after a whole season. They might as well have just forfeited the remainder of their games from the point they benched Pukki, Buendia and Cantwell against us to rest them for an FA Cup tie that they lost anyway. That's awful management, getting knocked out of the FA Cup whilst also sending out the message that you've given up on survival when you're only 7-8 points from safety with 8 games left. Bizarre. You can only assume that theres some truth to the rumours that they plan to "do a Burnley" by not investing after promotion, basically accepting relegation and using the parachute money to rebuild a team that can get promoted again and then stay mid table the year after. Seems mad though. They should have made a real fist of it with a handful of decent attacking players, two good full backs and a solid, experience goalkeeper. Administrator Stan Posted July 11, 2020 Author Administrator Share Posted July 11, 2020 Heard a stat earlier that Norwich are the only side in Europe's top 5 leagues not to have got any points from losing positions. That is just terrible for a Premier League side. How they took 4 points off us this season is embarrassing from our perspective. Hoping we can do Nige a favour by beating Bournemouth tomorrow night. Administrator Stan Posted July 14, 2020 Author Administrator Share Posted July 14, 2020 Brighton losing and the 4 sides below them all winning was unlikely. But it happened! West Ham play Watford after Bournemouth go to Man City/Villa go to Everton. As they play each other, neither Bournemouth/Villa can get relegated but any points could be valuable before the weekend's games. Brighton can guarantee survival if they win should Bournemouth & Villa both lose.
Administrator Stan Posted July 17, 2020 Author Administrator Share Posted July 17, 2020 West Ham done themselves a world of good with their victory tonight! Safety all but guaranteed being 6 points ahead, 6 points left on the board and also with a far superior GD over Bournemouth & Villa... The penultimate games... Man Utd vs West Ham Brighton vs Newcastle Watford vs Man City Bournemouth vs Southampton Aston Villa vs Arsenal West Ham could have their safety officially guaranteed as they play after everyone else. Dave
It's well documented what i think of Watford and Bournemouth. Absolute skid marks to the divison for some time. Glad to see the back of them in place of Bielsa, Billic and hopefully Brentford.
Danny
Massive result from Villa, out the relegation zone on goal difference now. Big game on Sunday now, big big game. Really hope Smith keeps Villa up, he deserves a second season in charge to prove his worth after the shower of shite their transfer policy has been for the last few years. Bluebird Hewitt
Watford could go above Villa on the final day, even if both lose. Ridiculous.

Administrator Stan Posted July 26, 2020 Author Administrator Share Posted July 26, 2020 Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few days, here's what needs to happen for the relegation spots in case anyone didn't know Villa can draw and hope Watford don't win. If they lose, they need to hope Watford & Bournemouth don't win. Watford can draw and hope Villa lose to survive. Bournemouth need to win and hope Villa & Watford both lose to survive.
