Sorry, I just assumed that you have spent trillions on all your defensive players/keepers.. my bad

Our backline & keeper here consists of 3 players we didn’t pay anything for, someone signed for £7m, and someone we signed as a kid. Hope the age isn’t getting to ya!

Just seen the Pickford foul... fucking hell, how did he not see Red for that??

If a player is fouled offside it has to be 'dangerous play'. Pickford is clearly just trying to make himself big and challenge for the ball. It's a HARD challenge, but not an out of control/studs up dangerous play foul in the opinion of the ref.

Offside. So Van Dijk might not have been in that position if he hadn't broken the rules by being offside, can't send someone off for that, imo.

Offside hadn't been signalled for at that point, ball was still in play. Can't just go around doing that regardless of whether it's offside or not

No but according to Steve McManaman they should just change the rules for this specific set of circumstances because it hurt Liverpool.

I agree, malicious intent should see red, it was a bad challenge but not deliberately inflicted injury.

We've been average at best here, midfield is allowing them through too easily. Robertson and Mane attacking down the left against an out of position Godfrey on his debut and James who doesn't tackle and is on a yellow is going to be a problem in the second half. Looks like Richarlison and James might do a swap.

So what? Van Dijk was only there because he broke the rules to get there. It was a poor challenge but it wasn't violent conduct, never should be sent off when your player broke the rules to be in that position.

Sound. A Liverpool defender can just go in two footed after an offside then without any punishment.

Some of these comments are hilarious. If that challenge is made anywhere else you’d be all calling for dangerous play. Fact is that the offside doesn’t effect the decision making, and Pickford went in recklessly with a scissor challenge. Absolutely a fucking red card challenge.
