Redcanuck
You have to admire Chelsea's luck with FA cup draws the last 15 years or so.
Cicero
Almost like we didn’t get Liverpool last year in the 5th round and then Manchester United the year before...
Subscriber Dan+ Posted January 12, 2021 Subscriber Share Posted January 12, 2021 Exact repeat of last season's draw which is weird. We hadn't played them in my lifetime and now we've drawn them two years running. It's not an easy one but Brentford I think will do what they did last year - make more changes than we did, and we'll go through. To be honest we ought to make the last 8. There really is no excuse. Made more complicated by Man U playing both midweeks aside it - looks like the next gap is 10th March, Everton due to play on 10th as well vs Spurs. I don't get why the FA cup games Everton and Man Utd are involved in can't be played on Thursday, then move their weekend games to 14th or 15th Feb. Although I was being a numpty looking at the fixture list and looking ahead not back. They're not playing on the 6th'/7th so you could move the FA Cup match back to Thursday 4th, and put the other match on 8th/9th. Imagine this is what they'll do. They can't play on the 4th as they play Southampton on the 2nd Feb and their opponents, West Ham, play on 3rd against Villa and then on 6th against Fulham. They should move the Man Utd vs Everton game on 8th Feb back to 6th Feb. So Man Utd would then play on 2nd, 6th, 9th Feb; Everton would then play on 3rd, 6th, 10th...
