Djalminha Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 Pretty much the title. Apparently, after 28 years the famous parisin duo part ways, it has been confirmed by their publicist Kathryn Frazier. Gone but never forgotten
Cicero Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 Well god damn @Djalminha where have you been you silly goose?

Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted February 22, 2021 Subscriber Posted February 22, 2021 They are easily up there with the best when it comes to pushing the electronic movement globally. Sad to see that they decided to quit but that's some run from 1993 - 2021.
Moderator Tommy Posted February 22, 2021 Moderator Posted February 22, 2021 What a shame. Their music has been a big part of my life since I was a teenager.
Machado Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 Nothing like the good old daft punk sound... very few acts as recognisable as them. I'd say their influence in the genre is second to none, and what a discography they left behind.
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted February 22, 2021 Subscriber Posted February 22, 2021 I really wonder what they're going to do next even if its solo projects.

I'd guess they're dropping the whole Daft Punk formula altogether if they do solo work, which is a shame in a way, but understandable and what makes the most sense.

Pretty sure they've been doing that for the last twenty years
Administrator Stan Posted February 22, 2021 Administrator Posted February 22, 2021 What a band. They certainly leave a rather famous legacy behind in terms of their iconic tracks and unique sound.
Dr. Gonzo Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 Whoa. I never thought they would break up. I've always wondered what they look like under the helmets.

No idea to be honest, both of them have their own record label and past collaborations with other artists. I guess these are the kind of things you find out after splits.
