...Dan 758
Marseille refused to come back out, the referee blew the whistle to end the match because OM had no players on the pitch, so it will go down as a 3-0 win to Nice. Bizarre night.

Subscriber RandoEFC+ 7,662 Posted August 22, 2021 Subscriber Share Posted August 22, 2021 It is weird though isn't it. You get mad scenes from some of the French and Italian fans at club level but not too much that I'm aware of from their international fans whereas club football in England has relatively good behaviour for the most part but a lot worse from our international fans. Is it just a culture thing that the biggest dickheads gravitate towards club loyalties in some countries but the national team in others? Rick 2,276
That Marseille coach who floored the Nice fan will be at the job centre in the morning. Stupid fucker. Nice need to be given a very heavy fine and stadium ban.

Maybe the tribal roots of club rivalries in these countries are more intact than in England. I know for instance that the violence in Turkish football has much to do with the history/politics of Istanbul. Regarding English national team I think it's just hooliganism. We see the same scenes here on Independence days etc Edited August 23, 2021 by Khan of TF365

...Dan 758
Ligue 1 and Liga NOS are swapping referees for a match this weekend. A Portuguese refereeing team will take charge of the Bordeaux Lens match and a French refereeing team will take charge of the Paços de Ferreira Braga match. El Profesor 1,457
Icardi makes it 2-1 PSG. Very unfair for Lyon. That penalty call was bizarre. It was Neymar who actually fouled Gusto (who looks like he's the real deal, btw. Only 18) Anyway, there is lot to be excited for Lyon fans. Their midfield is one of the best in the world, Paquetá, Bruno and Caqueret all had very good performances. Bosz is a good coach and they'll fight for the Europa League title this season. Lyon were excellent. Says everything about how good that midfield is when you’re bringing Aouer off the bench. Poch will not last the season. You can’t sub off Messi at 1-1 with 20 left to play. He just made his job harder for himself, and his arse was saved by Icardi. Edited September 20, 2021 by Rick

I also think he won't survive the season. But to be fair, it's really tough to fit Neymar and Messi at this point of their careers. Neymar lost some of his pace, he can't really be a winger anymore. I'm not sure what Poch should do. That job is quite the trap, as Tuchel can attest.

He must of got that injury against Colombia? in the Copa America when that player almost broke Messi’s leg.
