I don't think you'd need to bother digging your own grave mate, the missus will have ran you over and chopped you up into little pieces by then. 2 Quote
Eco Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Had an interview yesterday with a new company. Would be odd moving jobs since I've only been here for a year, but I swear this place in toxic and this other role would allow me to work from home more. Does anyone else ever feel like they have too many hobbies? I swear that I have so many hobbies or things that give me pleasure that there are impossible to do all of them while having a wife and 15 month old baby. Quote
Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted January 31, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 31, 2019 Anyone else seen this shit (pun intended)? Quote

Used to have loads when the kids were younger.. looking back I am surprised I managed to fit so much in with a family and work but not so much these days, funny enough with 4 on and 4 off I actually have loads more time to indulge in such things with the kids being older but find myself just chilling out in my spare time.. still got one or two on the go though... On another note I see the 'snow bomb' has arrived.. the way they were talking I was expecting to be up to my knees in it but just been out the back and hardly any out there... won't stop them cancelling trains and transport etc.. we are rubbish at handling even the lightest snow in this country. Not arrived in Leith yet, this is what we got overnight just looking out of the window but the other photo below this one is what we got the same time the year before and we were snowed in for over two weeks. Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted February 1, 2019 Subscriber Posted February 1, 2019 (edited) The shit you get, I have been getting this in my junk email, I never 'clicked to open...' at the bottom but found out the company in Google and the phone number of E-On Energy and got through to customer service and asked them I am calling in Ref to a refund you say you owe me of £576 you sent to my email address and could you send it out to me by cheque, the guy asked for my account number and I said I don't have one as my supplier was not E-On Energy. It was dead quiet for a few seconds and he said: "Err...just ignore the email" and all I said was how did you get my bloody email address and hung up!! I will wait again now and see if I get another email. Edited February 1, 2019 by CaaC - John Quote

I have had 2 in the last 3 weeks, one for a supposed refund on my TV Licence Fee and the other for a Tax Refund.. You can normally spot them a mile off.. That FBI one seemed genuine though... I only say that because about half an hour ago a Swat van drove past my house really, really slowly and they seem to have cordoned off both ends of the street for some reason.. 1 Quote

I never open or 'click' any attachments the tv licence bit and tax refunds I get them all the time, MSN had a blocking facility in their email folder once upon a time where you could block any emails from being sent but that was useless as all they do is come back under another email address, I get a lot of this Viagra spam and even if I block them they come back under another email address. If I get a load of telephone calls or text messages (Spam) or silent calls all I do then is report them to Ofcom, TPS or ICO and that helps a lot, you have to join them though and give all your private details. I like reporting them though as they get fined, the biggest sinners are the likes of Car Phone Warehouse and Barcley's Bank etc as they get fined thousands for continuous spam and silent calls, if the phone or mobile rings we won't answer if we don't recognize the number and do what you do and ignore the call then I get all the details after who called, check the number on Google and if it is a spammer then I will report them. You'll know if it's a tax rebate as they will send you a letter with how much you're owed and how to claim it. I get them every year and there is never any emails involved. 1 Quote

Aye, the last tax rebate I had I got that through my works wages and a letter beforehand telling me such, yet you still get people opening up email attachments and then go and give all their bank details etc, lunatics, I read about 2 weeks ago that a couple did that (tv licence scam) gave all their bank details thinking they were claiming a rebate and then got ripped off.
