Is it regarding the Gasly incident at the end of Q3? Sainz is also under investigation now. The commentators seemed to think that they'd withdrawn the yellow flags because Gasly was off the racing line. Maybe it was another incident, but if they're investigating then Max will probably only go penalty free if they can prove from the on-board footage whether he could have seen the yellows on trackside or his steering wheel. They could still give him a reprimand or a fine if they don't have the stomach to give him a grid penalty.

So they're saving the rocket ship engine for the last two races. 😬

Didn't  seem to need it today.

That's the worrying thing.

Pole on the older engine. So how easy will the victory be tomorrow?!

They will have the same engine in tomorrow. It is still ominous going into the last two races though. The only saving grace for Red Bull is that the Mercedes fresh engine performance drops off pretty quickly. They took an entire new power unit in Turkey and only 3-4 races later in Brazil the new ICU was 15kWh up on the used engines. So there's a chance things might even out by the last race to an extent.

Bottas, Verstappen and Sainz all under investigation suggests it was the end of Q3 incident. The electronics around the flags seemed to be a bit fucked up at the end. The yellow flags didn't seem to certainly be active, indeed the commentary team seemed to think there were no yellow flags and Vettel has speculated that they lifted the yellow flags because Max was coming to finish his lap.

I think with that many drivers under investigation they'll settle for a reprimand for all. Otherwise if they all get grid penalties then we're looking at a HAM-GAS-ALO lineup and it will indeed be a very comfortable afternoon for Lewis on a track where it looks very difficult to overtake.

Call me dumb as am confused here. Will it be the engine from Brazil for the race today? Or an old one?

And old one. They're saving the rocket engine for the last two races.

Ah, so it is going to be a boring race with no overtaking and Hamilton just cruising alone up front. Meh. Hopefully something unexpected shuffles it a bit.

Knowing this season, Hamilton will get a bad start and lose his front wing on lap one, Verstappen will make it up to the podium and Gasly will win the race.
