Ranieri has won the Premier League with a League One team, I don't see how you can sack someone who hasn't won anything for losing to a manager like Ranieri. It's the kind of result you just go fair enough. Move on. Keep him in charge

Given he took over a Nigel Pearson team you're being far too kind.

Who was the last Premier League manager to resign? I'm pretty sure it doesn't happen these days. And why would you when you'll get a multi million pound pay off if you're sacked

That explains the high five to Maguire.

Why would you stay after the whistle and clap the team after that if you're a Man Utd fan? Fair enough if it's a one off but it's not. Bizarre behaviour.

Not at all. Manchester United fans are used to supporting a club with a tradition of winning trophies. This whole period is degrading to them. About 40% of them didnt even stay behind to watch them lift the FA Cup in 2016.

Probably because they are playing away and don't know where all the exits are... xD

Ole has got a habit of putting his foot in his gob, like this from yesterday...

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Man Utd boss says fans will 'see a reaction'

If todays thrashing was the reaction he talked about then god help the reaction playing Chelsea :dam:

It’s not often I’m this right about something as I have been about this. Shoulda stuck money on it. The expectations OGS league achievements created (CL and 2nd place) vs the points totals they accrued (66 pts and 74 pts) has distorted reality to the point that there were a lot of people, especially those on the board at Old Trafford, who really didn’t expect another bad run/capitulation like this and a lot of United fans who thought Ole could eventually challenge for the title.

Ive never seen someone improve the overall squad and at the same time regress a team from its previous highest position under the previous manager (Jose’s 81 pt season).

I feel sorry for ole. He looked like he was  gonna cry in a post match interview

You know when all is said and done it would be hard not to feel a bit sorry for him if they do sack him...

It's clear he is unable to get the best out of these players and I don't know if he has lost the dressing room or the player mix is not right but they were expecting much bigger and better things this season but it has just not happened for them.. It was always going to be a tough job and Ole was probably just too nice a bloke to ever have that ruthless Ferguson style attitude that would be needed when their backs were up against the wall and results were not forthcoming..

He has learned a harsh lesson about football management and how ruthless this sport can be when things are going wrong... The bloke seems to have aged 20 years since taking over and the stress of it all must be immense. I can't imagine what it must be like waking up and having to navigate through papers and media with pretty much all of them including the fans calling for your head... I pin a lot of blame on the players themselves, no matter how Ole lays that team out you would have thought the players would have some pride in pulling the United shirt on.

Maguires form and silly things like he did today getting sent off have just made an already difficult job even harder and they need to shoulder the blame every time they put in poor such performances...
