Should Fraser have had a penalty? Didn't see TAA get a touch on the ball.

He touched the ball with a single molecule of his boot. 👀

Second half has been flat, needs livened up. Stays like this you can just see them snatching a point.

Good hit from TAA. Cue the "why don't he play for ingerland?"Comments when we all know it's because he can't defend a hamburger in a room full of vegans.

Except his defensive stats indicate he's one of the better fullbacks in the country at defending: https://fbref.com/en/comps/9/defense/Premier-League-Stats xD

Put in a brilliant challenge today to stop probably what would have been a certain goal too

Also,  England are as dull as dishwater, managed by an absolute dilettante. It’s to football’s eternal shame that such a team managed by Gareth Southgate got to an international final.

Just seen a replay of the “head injury” for the first goal xD - he’s fine, he’s about to get up until Scharr says something to him.

If Howe’s watched that back and still complaining about it, I think he’s a little crybaby.

And if it was a legitimate head injury and Howe’s kept him on the field for 90 minutes then Howe should be fined probably. But he wasn’t because Hayden was faking a head injury to try to steal the equaliser away.

Well done to Mike Dean for not falling for it I say. Not sure what Newcastle have to complain about with regards to the refereeing last night

Maybe hoping their new owners will chop Dean up with a bonesaw to send a message to the other officials. Because I don’t think they’ll stay up by playing football tbh

Seeing plenty of criticism of multiple Dean decisions from across the media and from other fans. I don't think Newcastle fans complaints are as head scratching as you're making out. Supporters are going to be bias toward their own, look in the mirror, but when you've got split views outside you can't just flush it away. There is controversy and I highly doubt you lot would be ok with it if the shoe was on the other foot.

I can completely understand why your lot are asking why the game wasn't stopped as it often is in those situations. And I'll happily admit I'm biased as fuck. I firmly believe there was nothing wrong with the Newcastle player though. Just usual tactics by opposition players when they've got something to hold onto is how I saw it. Not sure what other decisions there was issues with mind.

The controversy imo is players thinking they can stop goals by feigning head injury.

It's either as serious of a head injury as Howe's claiming, in which case the play should have stopped but the player shouldn't have immediately continued (as he did) or he was attempting a De Gea to rule off a goal and like De Gea was foiled by the referee and VAR review.

Given what happened immediately after the "injury" - I don't think there was any real serious injury and it's far more likely they're trying to chalk off a legitimate goal.

I don't disagree fans are biased and I don't particularly rate Mike Dean... but I don't think he got any big decisions wrong yesterday tbh.

The game should stop immediately when someone hits their head. No ifs, no buts. That is the rules. Otherwise you are setting a stupid precedent that someone who has just had a blow to the head should shoot up off the floor and worry about it later because another wave of an attack is coming and their might be a goal.

You can't let the game go on and then decide if it's OK in hindsight. Otherwise you are basically asking Hayden to get up and stumble around to prove concussion before you are willing to stop play.
