Tottenham Deadline Day

Can’t be bothered with individual rumours but sounds like it’s going to be an incredibly chaotic deadline day at the club.

Possibly up for 4 players coming in, likely two. Kulu and Bentancur most likely from Juve

Alli, Gil, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Bergwijn all potentially going out on loan or perm.

Paratici not impressing

Doesn’t matter what happens anyway, they’ll continue to disappoint and finish 6th at best  ;) I have a huge soft spot for spurs but it’s the truth…

But in all seriousness it’ll be an interesting day. Bentancur could be a good signing

I’m not convinced Bentancur is better than what we have.

Also not convinced Kulu has the pace to be a success in the prem although he’s clearly very talented

Sounds like both happening though

looks like you have signed Kulusevic.   Fab has reported it so it's probably done.

It's Kulusevski if you don't mind sir. 😃

I think that Spurs have bagged themselves a very good loan signing in Kulusevski. He has always impressed me when he has played for Juventus. Spurs have done well to get an option to buy clause at the end of the season. From what I understand, Spurs will pay £4.1 million upfront for the loan and then they have an option to buy Kulusevski permanently at the end of the season, by paying an extra £29 million. A very good deal for Spurs all round in my humble opinion.

I do sympathise for Paratici a bit as it is hard to do business in January when youre one of the better teams in the league due to the pool of players that are available.

Whilst new depth in the wing back position would have been ideal given the style of play Conte prefers they still do have options to play there.

Further up the pitch, we know how good Son and Kane are but I feel like Lucas Moura is one of the most underrated players in the league. He always seem to play well against us. The depth again isn't great and needs an upgrade but at least they have options to play there if needed.

Even if they just replace somebody like N'Dombele and LoCelso its still a step in the right direction. A big transition is needed in the summer mind you.

Spurs do have a good team,  as you said they can trim the surplus and get signings that work in Conte's style going forward.   I would say they still have a good core to work off and not like Man United which is a team that needs a complete overhaul.

Ndombele and Gil definitely gone on loan

Lo Celso likely off too

Alli to Everton would be a perm.

Just the two Juve lads in

No RWB or back up striker, again

Kieffer Moore's on his way to Bournemouth. Jump in at the last minute.

Shame you don't move for Tariq Lamptey. He would jump at that I'd have thought and would suit Conte's system so well.

Can’t believe you’re getting £5 million l!

Yeah Lamptey is the preferred option for most of our fans but scared off by the price tag (50 mill) and his injury record mainly. A lot of money to pay for a guy that has had a lot of injury problems. Also so small

Both done - think that’s it for us

£15 million for Bentancur, 8.3 mill for 18 month loan for Kulu - pretty reasonable

For two games. Then he's injured.

Injury issues are probably the only thing that I think would reasonably hold Spurs (or any club) from going for Lamptey at the price quoted. But I do think he'd be the perfect sort of fullback for Conte.

So we’ve backed Conte massively in terms of getting rid of unwanted players.

Ndombele, Lo Celso, Alli all gone. Two on loan with options. Gil also sent out to get game time. About 400-500k worth of wages a week there saved.

Just a shame we’ve left ourselves short again. No RWB and no back up striker means a disappointing window imo.

Really not sure what Paratici does. Going back to his old club to take their unneeded players and that’s it. Worrying

Gollini is dreadful, Emerson doesn’t suit the system at all. Gil out on loan already. Romero looks great but hasn’t played enough cause of injury

Unneeded players from Juventus might not be the worst thing. Bentancur and Kulusevski are good players.

I’m not saying they’re bad players, but it’s very uninspiring for a guy that’s supposed to have great contacts and knowledge across the game. So far recruitment has been extremely lacklustre

It does seem pretty unimaginative from him - I'm sure he was signed to build Spurs up into something like Juve were for the better part of a decade... so him turning to his old club is a bit weird. I suppose from a practical standpoint it makes sense, he knows the players - he knows the agents, he's moved them into a club before. But it's not exactly what you'd expect I suppose.

Still it's early days in his tenure. And Spurs aren't quite the name Juve are, so it's probably a bit harder to bring in the right players to build Spurs up while they're in the middle of yet another post-Poch rebuild.

They are indeed two very good players and Spurs fans should be happy. Bentancur and Kulusevski were both regulars at Juventus, with Kulusevski having recently scored an important goal away to Roma recently. Bentancur is 24, while Kulusevski is only 21, so both players have the potential to become even better footballers. They are both highly rated and I've been impressed with both players having seen them perform many times. They are quality players, who no doubt have the potential to become even better.

Sure, the pace of the Premier League and the quality of football in England's top tier division is extremely high and it's perhaps the most demanding league in the world. Many foreign footballers find it hard to adapt, while others flourish and improve in England. We don't know how Bentacur and Kulusevski will adapt in England, but what's for sure, is that they are both very talented footballers. They could both become excellent players for Spurs. I personally think that they are both very good signings for Spurs.
