Fortunate point for England and Southgate despite being overrun almost everywhere on the pitch. Germany should have won. Played better and created the better opportunities.

I do want Kane to get at least 4 more goals for England.

Mount & Saka always feel to me like support players who are not quite sure how to handle the chance to be a main man. Could be Southgate tactics, but not fully, surely.

Overall it was a Germany vs England match along similar lines to the majority of the fixtures history.

The positive you can take from that is with little of the ball we made as many chances to score as Germany.

However, you'd also argue we were lucky to still be in the game in the last 10mins.

I do wonder if I'll ever see an England team dominate the established countries with the ball in my lifetime. Probably not.

Not with Southgate in charge.

The pressure of being Mr. Chelsea clearly affecting Mount that's for sure.

Yeah he's played a shit ton of minutes this season but League Cup final and FA Cup final he drowned under the pressure. He was lucky Havertz slotted it past Ederson in the Champions League final.

Needs to learn from these mental mistakes if he wants to become elite. Too much of a tactical player vs an influential attacker.

Lucky draw for England in this game, Germany controlled much of the play. However, an away draw to Germany is always a good result for England. As for Germany, I thought Hoffmann, Kimmich, Raum and Musiala all played very well and impressed. With England, Kane was as usual always a danger upfront and Bellingham boosted England's midfield with his industrious play, when he came on as a sub. All in all, England will be the happier of the two teams with the result. But Germany can be very pleased with the performances of some of their players tonight.

I'd love to know how that's a pen when Kane is loitering offside. Trying to block a pass isn't the same as playing a back pass.

He wasn't offside as it came off the Germany player.

So deflections cancel offsides? Then why was reals goal not given?

I personally think Benzema goal should have been given. As there was a deliberate play towards the ball (by at least Fabinho or Konate).

And the same applied yesterday - the defender went to make a play to intercept the ball and it fell into the path of Kane.

Classic England and Kane game either way.

Shithouse, last minute goal out of nothing, then a wankfest. "Talismanic" Your talisman did fuck all.

Not sure I'd quite say that. We were poor for a lot of that game correct, but the last 15 mins we came alive and were knocking on the door for an equaliser, so it was coming, albeit through a fortunate penalty. Finished strong but that glossed over the previous hour or so.

Kane should have walked away with a brace last night. Bad miss skied first half inside the box with Neuer nowhere and a great save from Neuer for the other. The beauty we have with him is you can't keep giving him chances.

Personally think Germany who did look much better overall, miss the clinicality Klose used to give them. Still not 100% convinced on Havertz as that central striker, all feels a bit 'Firmino' with him.
