Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted September 11, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted September 11, 2019 why have they bothered with all the controversy over proroguing parliament? If they're just going to ignore everything parliament does that they don't like anyway then they needn't have bothered surely.

Remember the reason this Yellow Hammer report is so important is because itâs the updated version the Government did a month or so ago and not what Gove lied about and was caught. Shock horror Indeed... But with or without the facility of video, Brexit will make poor people poorer, actually everyone other than the very wealthy poorer. On this there is no debate to be had as it is guaranteed. I really am sad for people with no get-out clause in the shape of dual nationality and either didn't vote to leave or changed their mind. In a way you should see it as a releif from an Australian perspective mate. You couldn't ever produce anything as vile and disgusting as Rupert Murdoch. This is as bad as it gets to be honest. I'm saying this because for three years in this country every day you think our cunts can't produce anything worse than they did the previous day and yet they manage it without any repercussions until now and the same goes for the US. It's been over 30 years of manipulation and conditioning that he's given to those that consume his newspapers and news media. I posted some time back 30 years of front page headlines on the EU and every single one was a complete lie, none of them came to pass and neither had they ever been part of any EU plan. There were some funny ones in there like the EU were going to ban the Scottish kilt on men, But seriously, this sort of stuff has pushed the victims as I call them that cannot change even now with everything that's happening in front of their eyes and even after learning that they were lied to, they still feel the same. No matter what's put there... Even the Government's own assessment on what will happen with a no deal Brexit changes them. That's the power of the media and the papers, that's the crime people like Murdoch have committed. Only on the previous page you have an authentic quote from Rupert Murdcoh that I posted on why he hates the EU. He's never been able to get any leverage on them at all. They think he's a rat, vermin! Inverted
I've not been following the proceedings from start to finish, but from what I can tell yesterday, Lord Pannick (Miller's lawyer) seemed to handle the bench far better than Lord Keen (chief Gov lawyer for Scotland) did. Right now James Eadie (chief Gov lawyer for E+W) is speaking. He's presenting better and more confidently than Lord Keen did, but his argument is walking a very tricky tightrope. He's essentially having to argue that Parliament has a chance to exercise control over the government, and that the prorogation isn't excessive, whilst also arguing that in any case it's not up to the court to even decide these questions. It's a bold argument because he's close to saying that there is absolutely no possible legal control on prorogation in basically any scenario. Lord Keen seemed to stutter at the edge of coming to that conclusion under questioning, whereas Eadie is taking the opposite approach and sticking to his guns on the issue.  Edited September 18, 2019 by Inverted
SirBalon
It seems that they're trying to get a final outcome where the Supreme Court speaks in favour of this being an issue for Parliament while excluding the mentioning of the Government as it's very difficult for the law to get involved in the politicised issue that this is embedded in. If there's an inkling that Parliament has the measures to see the prorogation as excessive and perversel they could as a majority unity recall Parliament? SirBalon
Not an easy question to answer tbh considering he lived it in the skin. SirBalon
At first I thought this Arsenal fan wanted to die due to how bad our defence was but it turned out that he was willing to die for his country. A TRUE PATRIOT that to be honest, made me shed a tear with emotion.
