But at the same time, I think part of a draw for players with big potential moving to Brighton is the fact it's something of a stepping stone - you get a chance to prove yourself in the prem and that can be what's needed to get you to a big club. I think Brighton could benefit the same way Sevilla and Red Bull Leipzig have done by bringing in players with high potential and making it clear to them that they won't get in the way too much if a big club is interested... provided they get paid a fair amount. I imagine there's a compromise to be made here where Brighton can concede a release clause - but probably at a higher value that Kudus might want, but would still be willing to accept if he's got faith in his abilities.
