Subscriber nudge+ Posted October 8, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted October 8, 2017 Quote F1 bosses in talks to hold Vietnam GP Formula 1 bosses are in talks with officials in Vietnam about holding a race in the future, while there is also a push for a second grand prix in China. Earlier this year, former F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone said he could have done a deal with Vietnam but turned the chance down as he felt there were enough races in Asia. But F1 commercial chief Sean Bratches has since said he wants more Asian street races with a particular focus on holding them in "iconic cities". After Malaysia chose not to renew its F1 deal beyond this season, Motorsport.com understands the push for another race in Asia in the short term is high on F1 bosses' agenda. Vietnam is on its list of potential venues, with talks between F1 and officials in the country on-going. Sources with good knowledge of the situation say that the option being considered is for a street race in Hanoi. https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/f1-bosses-in-talks-to-hold-vietnam-gp-961514/

Yes, that definitely would be better for the fans and for the long-term success of F1. Hartley has been doing great for Porsche in WEC, would love to see him in a F1 car. This is most likely for one race only though, as he's tipped to join Gannasi for the next season in IndyCar... Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted October 22, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted October 22, 2017 I don't watch American sport so I don't usually get exposed to this but the build up for the US Grand Prix here has been unbearably cringe. What a nation of absolute spackermongs. No longer surprised they elected numpty Trumpty.

Administrator Stan Posted October 22, 2017 Administrator Share Posted October 22, 2017 Surely something wrong with Vettel there?! Hamilton made that look way too easy and now an increasing lead over the German.
Administrator Stan Posted October 22, 2017 Administrator Share Posted October 22, 2017 Just now, Cannabis said: Either Mercedes were saving their power or it's an issue on the Ferrari. For Lewis to put a 1.5 second lead down so soon suggest that something is correct for either statement. if it's the former, that is great strategy with high risk reward in which case fair play. If it's the latter, it's very unfortunate and prevents prolonging the inevitable really.
