Can't wait for all of the very clever tacticos, football hipsters and data analysts on Twitter to not shut up about this guy all season and pretend they've known about him for years despite never mentioning his name until he landed a Premier League job xD.

As stan put it, it is still risky, almost as risky as Kompany winning the championship and appointed by Bayern Munich.

Bloom does tend to have a midas touch so I would not be surprised if this is the latest Brighton master class.

He seems very highly rated in German football. Tbh Brighton have now established a solid track record with bringing in managers, so I suspect he’ll fit in with them well.

Very young though.

I'd say it's more risky than Kompany's appointment, even though I'm not a fan of Kompany becoming Bayern manager. Hurzeler has had a year and a half of great success at St. Pauli, culminating in them winning the 2 Bundesliga. But St. Pauli already had one of the best teams in that league and making the jump from 2 Bundesliga to the Premier League is huge. I think it's a huge gamble hiring a baby in managerial terms like him. At 31 years old, he's still got very little experience despite his success at St. Pauli. There are also many players in that Brighton team that are older than him, it will be interesting to see how he manages with that at a Premier League club.
