It would not surprise me at all if Leicester finish closer to Europe than the Championship.

Certainly 9th down is a very close & competitive group.

I don't know. I think the usual top six plus Newcastle, Villa and Brighton will comfortably take the top 9 spots. Fulham will be 10th/11th along with West Ham depending on how hilariously bad their latest post-Moyes era continues to go. After that the bottom 9 times are much of a muchness with Southampton and Ipswich looking quite comfortably the weakest. I'd still be surprised if Leicester finished ahead of more than half of Brentford, Forest, Everton, Wolves, Palace and Bournemouth even if they do manage to stay up.

We're not finishing closer to Europe than relegation. Would happily donate a hefty sum of money to the site if that did happen.

Not watched the game back or any highlights as was at a wedding, but pretty much gave up hope at 2-0 down.

Game seemed to turn when Fatawu was brought on. Will take a win at any cost, even with a scuffed Jordan Ayew stoppage time winner xD

Such a strange game. Gutted I missed that one, looked fantastic in the away end.

I thought we were quite fortunate with a lot of it. First half as covered was a disgrace - we can't keep starting games this badly but this isn't a new thing, it's plagued us for years.

I think the non-penalty award for Southampton and our subsequent penalty completely turned it basically. That and bringing Fatawu on who was outstanding. How he isn't starting games is beyond me and I don't think he's just somebody who'll be better from the bench. I really think going forward he's got to start Mavididi, Buonanotte and Fatawu and take the initiative in games. Cooper seems to set us up badly but we do have the talent to pick up wins.

Buonanotte is a real gem of a signing. Gutting we've got basically no chance of getting him permanently. Brighton might genuinely regret loaning him out this season. 19 years old and already probably our best player. He's fantastic.

I've been pretty heavily critical of Southampton and once again they showed their flakiness. They're a bad side with a bad manager. The non-penalty award was mental and I do think they've been unlucky, but that's an absolute hammer blow of a loss for them. They must really hate us by this point. I can't think of a club we've had more joy against.

We're not convincing at all but I think we can stay up. I think we're fortunate to be as high as we are, but I'm hoping he starts utilising this squad properly because we've proven in the last few games that it really isn't a bad one. There are goals in this side and our goalkeeper is miles better than the other sides down there for me.

Massive three points, bit lucky I think, but if we can't enjoy winning like that what can we.

Our squad is quite underrated by people I think but we'll be nowhere close to Europe. We've had relatively kind fixtures as well.

I do think though people forget how recently we were a top half team. We dropped completely unexpectedly, our level probably never dipped as drastically as people think. Obviously we have lost a lot of that side, but I still think our squad is a level above the two we came up with and I think if you pitted it against a lot of bottom half sides there'd be far less in it than people think.

I don't even think we've played to anything like our potential either. Our results have definitely been better than performances.

Just seen the penalty they weren't given. What a shocking decision xD

Ayew hasn't even slightly pulled him back. He's held on for long enough. Surprised Taylor saw it as 'inconsequential' as it appeared if he wasn't held back he might have been able to get closer to the ball.

But we've had 2 equally bad officiating decisions go against us already this season so if this is going towards luck being even, so be it...

A decent manager and I'd feel better about Leicester. Under Cooper I don't think you'll ever play at a level that gets you out of the bottom five. You should be well clear of Ipswich and Southampton anyway so then you only have to beat one other team and you've got an 8 point headstart on Wolves now unless they get something against City today.

Was another win for Villa. But also another where they had to come from behind & really could have gone either way. It is the sort of run good teams have. Just slightly worrying as to how it will go when we start playing more of the top half.

Having played 7 of the 12 sides from Fulham down, I do think Wolves have seemed the weakest team. If it does not turn around soon, changing manager could help. But, perhaps the lack of stability of maintaining players is starting to catch up with them.

Teams just do not learn do they. Man City love having the ball, they love the opposition sitting in and trying to hold on. It’s just a matter of time before they take the lead at this rate, I wish sides would take the game to them a bit more, just like Fulham did last time out. They’ve never been the best when being pressed.

I've watched that City goal about six times and can't decide what I'd give, there's arguments for or against.

Only annoying thing for me personally is that had it been Wolves scoring then they're 100% chalking it off.

Neville is such a rat 😂 James dives for a free kick, says nothing, then seconds later he wants Salah booked for a dive even though there’s contact from Colwill. It was never a pen on Salah, but it wasn’t a dive either. Then he implies the ref gave the pen because he felt pressure from the crowd. Bellend.

That being said, get in!!

Yeah I thought this as well. If it’s the other end and Lemina standing where Silva was, it’s getting waved off.

He's right about this part though. When attackers wave a leg unnaturally to try to initiate contact and buy a foul, it's objectively as much cheating and attempting to deceive the officials as diving. Unfortunately it never gets them booked though. So yeah it would have been inconsistent for Salah to be booked this time but generally speaking they should be in my opinion.

Could argue that Salah is putting his leg protecting the ball though, and that it’s up to the defender not to foul him. I agree with your point in general, but for me it’s the ones running at a defender and dangle their leg out while passing them that is the problem.
