No more news on Ryan Woods other than we've apparently dropped our valuation to £6.5m. I imagine he will go soon, very happy for him not to but accepted that he most likely will not be a Brentford player.

Other good news is that we no longer seem to be in for Engels so that means we keep Chris Mepham for now.

Preston seem to have a bit of W link with Man City, that could be priceless getting them kids on loan.

Transer window effectively still open for football league clubs. We can just loan and buy in January. Still some outcoming for us, Oliveira will be one and I think Pinto too

I see Wigan have been taken to the cleaners by Ipswich - £1.25m for 30 year old Joe Garner is daft money. Unsurprisingly, they only got interested once we'd been in negotiations.

I might try to join Wigan Athletic as a scout. All you have to do, it seems, is read the Bolton News and see who BWFC have been linked with... scout report complete.

Sheffield United willing to pay all of Scott Hogan's £35k p/w wages on a loan. Villa have completely mismanaged him, I imagine Sheff Utd would play much more to his style. Was one of the best strikers in the league with us, I hope he stays at Villa for competitions sake :D

Stoke are ready to cough up the money that Swansea couldn't for Ryan Woods apparently....we've also just signed a young midfielder on a free from Arsenal called Josh Dasilva. No idea if they're similar players or not.

This could be interesting in terms of history. Gary Madine has signed for Sheffield United on loan.

Thoughts @DNA?

Saw the rumours and story behind it the other day.

Odd signing given how public his allegiance has been to their rivals. He must have convinced Sheff Utd very well to persuade them to sign him. Will take a lot to win the fans over.

I didn't even think they needed a striker? Clarke, Sharp, McGoldrick.

Don't they have Woodburn still on loan, as well?

I guess if Sheffield United needed another option or go more direct, Madine would fit the bill.
