Aberdeen have the chance for a fairly short journey again this year, so will probably be guaranteed to be drawn against the Estonian team...

Rangers have the possibility of revenge against Progres.

I'd expect each of the Scottish teams to easily advance through this round.

Comfortable victory for Rangers. Was little more competitive than a pre season game for them.

Could start booking their trips for the second round now.

That is absolutely disgraceful from Killie. Absolutely no point other clubs putting decent European runs together when there's results like that to absolutely tank the coefficient.

Maybe they'll be ready in another 18 years.

Steve Clarke's reputation goes by the minute.

Only surprises I see is that Utrecht got knocked out by a Zrinjki, and FCSB (Formally Steau Bucharest) got eliminated by Alashkert.

Frankfurt win 2-1 to move on, with an aggregate score of 4-2.

Good to see. Hope they go far in competition again but will be difficult without Jovic & Haller.

Espanyol, Wolves, Aberdeen, Rangers, Torino all through. Wolves going through means they play in Armenia 3 days before their first game of the PL season against us.

Gent & Utrecht out against Romanian & Bosnian sides respectively which is a bit of a surprise.

Wolves could face a Europa League trip to Torino in the final qualifying round before this season's group stage.

The Premier League side are in Europe for the first time in 39 years and face Armenian side Pyunik on Thursday.

If they come through that two-legged tie they will play Italian side Torino or Shakhtyor Soligors of Belarus in the play-off round on 22 and 29 August.

Celtic - still in the Champions League - Aberdeen, Rangers, Linfield and The New Saints were also in the draw.

Celtic will face Czech side Slavia Prague in the Champions League play-off round should the Scottish champions defeat Cluj of Romania.

But if they lose that tie, they will drop into the Europa League and face Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova or Swedish club AIK.

Rangers have a trip to either Legia Warsaw of Poland or Atromitos of Greece to look forward to should they knock out Danish club FC Midtylland, while Aberdeen could be heading to Belgium or Cyprus.

Irish Premiership side Linfield, who defeated HB Torshavn in the last round, will face Apoel or Qarabag if they come through, while Dundalk of the Republic of Ireland could face Ajax.

Selected Europa League play-off round fixtures (to be played 22 & 29 August)

Cluj or Celtic v Sheriff Tiraspol or AIK

Legia Warsaw or Atromitos v FC Midtjylland or Rangers

Torino or Shakhtyor Soligors v FC Pyunik or Wolverhampton Wanderers

AEK Larnaca or Gent v HNK Rijeka or Aberdeen

Ludogorets or The New Saints v Maribor or Rosenborg

FK Sutjeska or Linfield v Apoel or Qarabag

Slovan Bratislava or Dundalk v PAOK or Ajax

Wolves Torino should be a cracker like, going to be a shame to see one go out.

Celtic have a winnable tie against AIK, not sure who Rangers have?

Rangers get Legia Warszawa.

Another Greek vs Turkey matchup with AEK playing Trabzonspor.

Strasbourg playing Eintracht Frankfurt should be a good matchup as well. Shame that one of these sides will be out whereas either Malmo or Bnei Yehuda will advance.

Shame about Frankfurt and Strasbourg as well, suppose its because of the route they all qualified by

Last night was a weird game. We looked like we were letting them have more of the ball but still won 3-1.

We've made easy work so far but this will be the first real test of our team. I'd be delighted with a win but I think it'll be a 1-1 draw.
