So he's either refusing to move or pushing for a move depending who you believe...?

Similar situation as with Gareth Bale at Real Madrid mate. He's getting a massive wage and he will want that matched... The only difference is I'm not so sure that Alexis will be content with doing what Bale really likes which is playing golf. Don't even know if Alexis is into that tbh.

Stop punishing Bale for one golf quote! 🤣

Alexis Sanchez: Man Utd and Inter Milan yet to reach agreement

Manchester United and Inter Milan are yet to reach an agreement over a deal for forward Alexis Sanchez.

The Serie A side were hoping to find out if they had a chance of signing Sanchez, initially on loan, by the middle of this week.

But 30-year-old Sanchez's £390,000-a-week salary is proving to be problematic as Inter are only prepared to pay less than half of the amount.

United view this offer as unacceptable, while Sanchez himself wants to leave.

The former Barcelona and Arsenal player is looking to link up again with his friend and former United striker Romelu Lukaku - but he is thought to be loath to accept the kind of significant wage cut that would make the move easier to complete.

Inter remain keen on the Chile forward, who has had a hugely disappointing time at Old Trafford, scoring just five goals in a season-and-a-half. Sanchez scored as many times for his country at the Copa America this summer as he did through the entire 2018-19 campaign.

If Inter fails to significantly increase their figure by the time the European transfer deadline closes on 2 September, Sanchez will remain at Old Trafford until at least January.

Unless United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a change of heart, Sanchez, who played alongside Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in a closed doors friendly against Sheffield United on Tuesday, is only likely to be involved in United's Carabao Cup and Europa League campaigns this season.

How Ed Woodward didn't get sacked over signing Sanchez I will never know. Or at least that would be the case if he wasn't so obviously the Glazers' Yes Man and they're only interested in milking the club dry. In that sense it actually makes the money spunked on this useless lazy cunt quite hilarious

Well Sanchez was a top player that's why. He had hit some bad form but there wasn't really anyway he could have known what would happen

He's never ever done anything to justify 500k a week at any stage of his career which is now nosediving to the level he deserves

Disagree. At his best, he was comfortably the 5th best player in the world.

Carried Chile to a Copa win in 2016 and from what I remember, had Arsenal on his back at times. He was an outrageous talent, and as @Gunnersauraus I don't think many could have predicted his downfall to be this awful.

Couple of goals for Inter in the first 25 mins against Sampdoria. The talent is still there, just didn't fit what Mourinho wanted to do and Solskjaer is basically just clueless. Hopefully he can get back to the level he was at while he was with us.
