  2. I am not sure about the League being more important than the Champions League. The Champions League is the ultimate competition that all the great European clubs want to win the most. But you are right, Sancho and Maatsen while they have played very well in some matches since they joined Dortmund, they are not the main reason Dortmund have done so well in Europe this season. So many other Dortmund players have shone as well and Dortmund have formed an incredible team spirit and understanding. Don't worry about Unhappy Blue, he's just a little bitter that his side crashed out of the ultimate European club competition and can no longer claim to be the best team in Europe. Whoever Dortmund face in the final(I am hoping it will be Bayern), I will be rooting for Dortmund to win. It would be a huge achievement for the club to win the holy grail of European football.
  3. Right but the Champions League is a knock out competition isn't it? Sancho was widely praised in the first leg, Maatsen had some really good individual moments yesterday. I really don't care too much about Premier League players/PL vs BL.
  4. Today
  5. City has been the best team in the world for 7 years or so now and still is. a knockout cup comp isn't the way to judge these things, we was the better team v Madrid but they went through, Chelsea has won this from mid table Premier League finish lol
  6. League over CL any day of the year, and without them Dortmund had sealed the title by winning every match in the second half of the season. Nobody argued with @Happy Blue when claimed Man City would be the best team in Europe after they crashed out of CL, after all.
  7. Last season CL - round of 16 This season - in the final Without them, they'd have not reached the final
  8. Maatsen and Sancho had a positive effect on the team? Well, last season they had 67 points and were on 2nd spot after 32 Buli matches - now they have 60 points and are on 5th spot after the same time. Please explain how that is a positive effect? You're overrating the influence of your Premier League loanies massively.
  9. Haha you have. Am I bottom? I forgot about this tbh, I’ve not logged in for months. I’m bad for doing this. I will win the next one!
  10. Credit where its due and this Dortmund side have done well to advance. However, that PSG side were both unlucky and wasteful. To have that many shots hit the post and that too over two legs is a bit like fate telling you its not happening. Now, I hope Bayern eject Real Madrid and then we get an interesting final.
  11. The only winner anyone wants to see now is Dortmund, it would be pretty phenomenal for them to win this, especially after coming so close all those years ago under Klopp. Clearly Maatsen and Sancho have had a positive effect on the team since their arrival. Crazy that Maatsen was playing for Burnley last season.
  12. Well, that was about it for this year I am dreading the hot weather, so far not to bad.
  13. Oh shit they arrested someone else for this? Good, these people are absolutely fucked up. I saw something about this almost a year ago: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-65951188 - I remember reading this part: and thinking "what the fuck is wrong with people?!" I hope everyone involved with this animal abuse ring gets locked up.
  14. Usually sympathetic when most sackings are heavily criticised but do think this one is a bit harsh. But then I also think they've invested quite a bit this season, they have quite a formidable attacking team and they were bang average post January despite the Carvalho / Zaroury additions. It's brutal but I can see why their owner is disappointed to not make the top six. Then again, this was a particularly tough year and you'd have backed them to be up there next time out. I'll be intrigued to see who comes in.
  15. Yesterday
  16. Thought Dortmund did well but my god they were lucky. How they've not conceded over the two legs is remarkable. That's a finalist basically nobody would've called.
  17. People are out there doing evil shit that you would struggle to even think up. Psychos. https://amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/article/2024/may/07/british-woman-admits-global-monkey-torture-network
  18. It looks like Dortmund will play a Champions League Final at Wembley again. How unbelievable would it be if Dortmund play Bayern Munich in this seasons Champions League Final at Wembley? It would be an exact repeat of the 2013 Champions League Final that was held at Wembley, in which Bayern Munich played Dortmund and won 2-1 on the night.
  19. It's arguably the league with the strongest teams. Dortmund and Bayern Munich have shown their excellence and strength in the Champions League this season, yet neither of them have been a match for the flawless Bayer Leverkusen this season. Leverkusen the team that are still unbelievably undefeated in all competitions this season. VFB Stuttgart and RB Leipzig are 2 other top quality Bundeiga sides.
