  1. Forget the $ figures. Losing Neymar and getting Dembele who is a similar player plus Coutinho is definitely not a downgrade (if its not an upgrade) without spending an extra penny. Stupid twats thought Neymar was so instrumental to barcelona's success and this season clearly proved that he is not. Also its pretty laughable to label Coutinho as an "uproven talent". Overpaying for Dembele I can agree but as I mentioned, Barcelona only overpaid because they had the money from Neymar's deal, its simple mathematics, if PSG didnt overpay for Neymar then Barcelona wouldnt have used that same money and overpay for Dembele. No club that is ambitious is going to take that money and leave it in the bank. And talking of La Masia, every academy has its highs and Barcelona had theirs few years ago and they wont replicate it anytime soon. One cant expect an academy to produce the likes of Iniesta, Messi, busquets, Xavi, Puyol, Pique, Pedro and others every season or two. Man Utd had their good time with their academy but how many great players do they have now from their academy that start every match? The only reason people talk about La Masia is because at their peak they had THE best players come out that played for their first team and dominated world football like none other in this generation.

  3. Good. He's lost respect fron most Interistas after his stupid book and calling out the Ultras. Not to mention his talent is there but I find his effort pretty poor at times.

  4. Didn't realise that, I've been a bit out of loop when it comes to football lately Yeah, it's a lot of money for us, and for that amount, I expected someone who's already proven in the league and could help us directly. It's great if it turns out well, but at this point, he's just a talented Wundertüte

  5. Actually I just copied the words of Baumann from a few days ago What a weird statement looking at it now. 9 million for this guy seems pretty much, especially for Werder. Let's hope he is worth the money.

  7. There are players from Barça’s ‘B’ team being filtered through... Aleñá, Arnáiz (although he’s not a La Masia product and came from Real Valladolid) and a couple of others that have made Valverde’s selection list this season. How many players are expected to be promoted... 11? Kids are leaving like Sergio Gómez to BvB and there’s been others that departed in the summer. There’ll be others leaving too because that’s the name of the game now and they (those 18 year olds) feel that there’s more chance of getting an opportunity elsewhere and they’re probably not wrong as getting into the Barcelona first XI requires in my opinion something more than anywhere else in the world. Like I said before... The prices paid are unfortunately the prices we have now and if you want to negotiate with a marquee player in full contract at another big club, then you’re going to pay big money because that’s how the market is. Barcelona don’t do what Man Utd have been doing over the past 4 years where they sign anything that moves and the dish of the day. They buy players that they feel fit the system and if they happen to be world class then great, if they’re not, then who cares because what matters is that they’re the right player for the system. As much as I respect Minguella, he like everyone else in the world isn’t always right and in this case he’s not right no matter what his status is because FC Barcelona are a club that demands they opt for winning it all in a season, that they’re competitive in every single competition and that means signing many times. Barcelona throughout their history have signed players but La Masia has, is and will always be the jewel in the crown.

  9. It looks there as if he waited to the end but nobody was left to take home.

  10. Arsenal in the last 5 years how they have acted in the transfer market is like a guy who leaves it to end in a nightclub to try and pull a woman before the lights come on, scrambling around with no real plan to look for the strays and left overs, so it has been cheap as they didn't have to buy them drinks all night if they they moved in for someone decent earlier. Now they are going for these higher older targets that no one else wants, due to them having some kind of baggage or seen as a potential risk, again no real plan involved. Wenger really has left the club in such a poor state when he does decide to leave.

  11. Bollocks last time he was indeed robbed! I now worry that Canelo will get a read of GGG after the first fight and that GGG is a bit older and nearing the end. Hopefully I’m wrong as I’d love nothing more than a Golovkin knockout!!
