The latest baffling element of this debate now is "we can't stay in lockdown forever". Give your head a wobble please. Nobody is arguing in favour of that. At most, people are arguing that there shouldn't be significant changes for 3 more weeks. And if you think what's happened in England is a "lockdown" then you're sadly mistaken. If a real lockdown had happened, the infection rate would be much lower by now and you actually could start talking about getting back to something relatively normal. Instead the government have fucked it up with poor messaging and unclear policies, parts of the public have fucked it up with ignorance and ill discipline and parts of the media have fucked it up by treating it like a soap opera and giving dangerous sociopaths like Katie Hopkins a platform to spout shit about something she isn't qualified to comment on. But that's what England has been reduced to now, a perfect storm of ignorance, selfishness and confused nationalism.2 points

The current record is held by Aleix Segura Vendrell lasting 24 minutes and 3 seconds... Knowing how our Government operates I would not recommend holding on for more than 30 seconds...1 point

The reproduction rate is expected to fluctuate though, as it's subject to statistical uncertainty and is also succeptible to even small variations in the data, especially since the RKI calculates it on a 4 day moving average.1 point

I am sure that all the employers watching that tonight are well ahead of the rest of us after working tirelessly with the Government behind the scenes and are fully prepared to not only allow their staff back on site with only 12 hours notice but also that they are fully prepared to keep their staff safe with all the appropriate PPE in place to safeguard them once the masses start gathering in the offices, canteens and warehouses where they work... At least @Carnivore Chris can get back to work now as long as it's local to him, you know walking distance as he will need to avoid that other vital component to getting people to and from work and that's buses and trains... Again I am fairly positive that both the rail and bus companies are well ahead of the rest of us in preparation for that tsunami of people going back... or not as the case probably is..1 point

They've told people to go back to work, but not really who exactly, with less than eighteen hours notice. These people couldn't be any more detached from normal life if they tried.1 point

Yeah, the ending was quite nice as that little hanger was exactly what the main characters were talking about a while ago, something like that was inevitable. I still hope someone will pick the series up again in the future Completely unlikely to happen, I know. But I really really enjoyed it.1 point

I've been operating under the assumption a vaccine could take 18 months or more however members of our scientific community lately have been speaking with more confidence than I'd expect of something potentially being available before the end of the year. I get your frustration. Definitely i'm starting to itch for an end to restrictions primarily for my son to return to school. He's in 4 year old kinder. At that age the learning is almost entirely about social interaction, and increasing confidence and resilience of kids. My son is quite timid and already I've seen him become more shy under this lockdown and more anxious about leaving the house (not fear of COVID, just as a timid kid who's now not used to being out in crowds). I'm fine with some level of restrictions for a long period but I want him to return to school.1 point

As it was something I directly said I will respond to it... Truth is we can't stay in lockdown forever that's just a fact and unless I missed a raft of posts on here to say otherwise I don't see anyone else asking for it to remain either so not sure what the point was in highlighting that fact?? As you can see from what I said in my post a bit further down I would be in favour of an eased lockdown situation in another couple of weeks but for that to happen we need to have all the other elements in play for it to be a success, Testing PPE for frontline workers etc.. that is something we are not in position to offer people as it stands.. All the rest of your post I pretty much agree with though... There has effectively been no lockdown for any of the frontline workers since it began and although a lot of people could be kept away from the worst of it by working from home or being furloughed for Health reasons so many hundreds more have not been able to do so.. The Government has not been able to give those vital services the relevant protection they should have had to start with and now they are suggesting more people should start getting back in the mix.. baffles the mind, poorly thought out and poorly executed as per the norm in this country..1 point

I am bloody knackered.... thought I had got away with doing some stuff round the house for a few days given I can't get the supplies I need only to find out the missus had put me forward in my absence to paint next doors house!! Just finished putting everything away.. ache like fuck... She asked me how much and I jokingly told her £2,000 per side and she panicked and said she only wanted the front doing so I said it would take at least 3 coats...1 point

I remember when that American marine Real Madrid fan sent me a picture holding a gun saying he was going to shoot me. It was hilarious I thought. Shit handgun. If I lived in the USA, I'd buy something better than that. Girls' handgun...1 point

Can’t even remember the old places web address, let alone people that posted on it. From here, who was the two that got banned? Sure one was a Norwich fan, can’t remember the other. They were banned completely unfairly and it painted the staff in a crap light when they were letting Cannabis act like a bellend for months on end. Also, Cannabis was an idiot. He seemed to have a Benjamin Button effect about him in that instead of maturing as he got older, he seemed to become more childish and more of an irritant. He’s missed about as much as a blocked nose.1 point

He's still around on here very rarely and with a different name I think but I miss Moaty. Legendary posts about Newcastle and Ashley back in the day that used to make me laugh so much. Only man I've ever known get the words ebola, house fire and cunt into every sentence.1 point

I think it's just a fuck up in the F1 Store failing to put things into the right categories. But I thought for a moment that Williams are in such a dire situation that they are selling the merchandise of their opponents already That said, I want this:0 points
