  2. Kamui was an awesome driver. Very quick and daring. His podium in Japan and his courageous overtakes were awesome! Takuma Sato was quite talented as well, but I think he was rushed into F1 because Jordan-Honda were desperate for a Japanese Driver, and he was an exciting prospect. His later achievements show how talented he really is.

  3. As @El Profesor said, alot of it is down to getting high earners off the books, which makes sense in it self, but there needs to be replacements at the same time. The signing of Dest would make the Semedo sale make more sense. I haven't seen him much but he's a highly rated young player and it'd be interesting to see what he could bring @SirBalon 69 or even @Eco will have seen more of him. Bringing in young talent and giving chances to youth is the way to move forward. I mean Fati is genuinely brilliant for his age. I think the only players of that age group I rated higher/equally were the Brazilian Ronaldo, Messi and Mbappe. That's not to say Fati will reach that level but he's he's certainly showing he could be a real talent. I do actually think Fati could be moulded into a false 9 type player in the future, but he's too young to be given such responsibilities right now. Wilnaldum would also make sense because even though we've mentioned rejuvenating the team, you do need experience too and he's just recently won the Prem and the Champs league. He's an underrated player. But I'm not sure about Depay. He's improved loads since Man United but he's not the player Barcelona need for me.

  4. Twitter is a toxic hell-hole. I sometimes wonder why professional players even bother going on there. I'd imagine hes moved on but its stupid that people think a keyboard entitles them to being abusive.

  9. Apparently George Russell convinced Claire Williams to give him a drive by making a Power Point presentation. Also the reason why he used powerpoint in this video: When Seb announced that he's leaving Ferrari he posted this: So yea, George is good with Powerpoint, and now Checo asked him if he could make him one to get a seat for next season.

  10. Perth is too fucking big, too fucking hot, too fucking empty and too full of bogans and racist south africans imo. Also it's in the middle of nowhere which makes it hard to escape. Good state government though.

  13. Not as much, but as in any other race, you'd rather have a good starting position to be in front and have clean air for as long as possible, so it still matters.

  14. Kamui Kobayashi. Loved watching him - fast, aggressive, daring, entertaining. Definitely an underrated driver, and would have done much better if he had the funding and better teams.

  15. Lundgaard > Zhou. Anyway, none of them have superlicense at the moment. Both Lundgaard and Zhou need to finish at least 4th in F2 this season; doesn't look good for Zhou at all as he's currently 8th, 32 pts behind the 4th and in a pretty disappointing form recently. Things are looking much better for Lundgaard at the moment, but with 4 races still remaining, it's not yet guaranteed either. Renault might have had doubts about his inexperience and lack of consistency as well. Piastri is eligible now after winning the F3 title, but he's definitely not ready for F1 yet. The rest of their juniors (Fewtrell, David, Collet) are out of the question completely. I'd much rather see a young driver in F1 next season instead of Alonso too, and in my opinion, it would have made sense for Renault to wait until the end of the season and then make their decision - if neither Lundgaard or Zhou managed to get the required superlicense points, they could have gone for Alonso then.

  17. Fernando is and always has been an utterly bitter cunt. He's developed an unhealthy amount of hate for Sebastian when the latter was at Red Bull. I remember when they asked Seb about Fernando and he said "I'd love to have a chat and a coffee with him, but for some reason he doesn't like me." Renault/Alpin made a big mistake bringing that toxic cunt into the team, and should have gone with Zhou or one of the other juniors.

  20. We still have a week left in the window so I'd imagine they want two out of three based on what @Carnivore Chris just said as there seems to have opened up a lot of gaping holes which they didn't have before (albeit filled with players past their prime). And you're correct with those high salaries moving out they'd definitely be able to balance the wage bill better because I doubt any of Gini, Dest or Depay are coming in at what Suarez was getting.

  21. I'm not sure about the rules, maybe Chris can explain, but Barça moved some of their highest salaries with all those exits, not to mention the Semedo transfer fee. They'll sign at least one of Gini, Dest or Depay. Right now, Dest seems the closest to moving to Barça.
