The bigger issue was that they even had to go back and do a remake. Yeah its the fad right now but the original should be left alone and they could have spent all that time focusing on a new series with better mechanics. Instead they went down this path and then had to pull it too. I figure someone in marketing said something to the effect of "have you seen the internet traction stating they love PoP XYZ. We should do a remake since it will be easier".
FWIW UB Montreal has a really good dev-team so theres hope yet.
I always hoped a bigger studio bought the IP out and then called the boys and girls at Mercury Steam to do a remake. Even if it was a side-scroller I'd bet money it would turn into a Platinum game.
It isn't sudden. It's been gradually building for basically all of his time at Mclaren where Norris has quite easily had the measure of him. He got a lot of benefit of the doubt last year as people said fairly enough that the new cars would give him a chance for a reset and take away Lando's advantage of being more used to the old-era Mclaren car but things have pretty much carried on the way they were and Lando's two most recent spankings of Daniel in Spain and Monaco in light of his bout of tonsillitis have really triggered the latest chapter of the conversation.
They're both shite in their own ways, and good in their own ways.
WWE has some good big star matches, and a better big fight feel. They also throw in the odd AEW style workrate match for fun and it fits better surrounded by different match styles.
AEW is grossly self indulgent.
A lot of the old films are the bee's knees to me, films that you can sit down with the wife and kids and watch without a lot of blood and gore and women running around naked with their boobs bouncing up and down and even men with their privates swinging in the wind.
