Denise has had Pixie since a baby but she is very friendly, she only comes out at night but will always play peek-a-boo with Denise when she wants out for a wee wander, she will go up to the glass staring or stick her head out of her little cubby hole in the container. The cats are wary of her and that night I mentioned in some thread a while back Denise forgot to close Pixie's glass door and went to bed and Pixie got out for a wander, Denise woke up to like a shrieking noise in the lounge and Puddin had run into the bedroom meowing to Denise, all Dee could see was Pixie walking across the floor shrieking at the cats to stay away and they bloody did.3 points

I absolutely adore geckos. Wild house geckos are pretty much everywhere here, not as pets, but as freely moving wild animals in urban environments, so there are always several at the house/apartment/everywhere. Then after a while, you also get really tiny gecko babies What's interesting, that you can actually see noticeable differences in their characters/temperaments. Some are shy and hide whenever you approach them, some are very loud/territorial, and some actually kinda enjoy human company. We had three baby geckos in the bungalow a few years ago who would always climb on the table, then on your hand/computer mouse and then the monitor whenever you were working, and had absolutely no fear of humans. And then for some reason, there's always one which is not the brightest tool in the shed and extremely clumsy, and falls down from the ceiling after falling asleep once it gets startled by something I had a gecko fall on to my head or shoulder at least a dozen of times as a result3 points

Yea, I'm pretty sure it is a Chinchilla. I always wanted to have one when I was a kid. But they are not an ideal pet for a kid. Very demanding pet in general. Also they usually sleep all day and are only active at night. A bit like @nudge3 points

Was reminded today, how priviliged footballers really are. Many papers were stating surprised Labaddia has his team working from sunrise to sundown. Knowing the former was at 8:30 and the later will be at 16:07, I'm wondering, why they think that would be worth mentioning. These working hours aren't exactly exceptional in Germany. If anything they're short for such well paid professionals.2 points

I've wanted to get a dog for years but know I wouldn't be able to look after it properly. People need to think more before they get pets1 point

Based on some of the footballing displays I've seen this season I'd say this is a new concept for VfB.1 point

For me, I think 5 cities is too much. You've got to think about the logistics of going place to place, checking in/out of hotels & you don't want to feel rushed while you're at the places you've planned to go to because you've planned to do too much. I think I agree with @nudge, I like to travel at a pretty slow pace and try to enjoy as much of every second in each new place I go to. Biggest issue with the recent trip I did in Italy is my wife wanted to do so much around the country, because she'd never been, but also a big chunk of that trip was sort of logistically out of our hands and when we went to Bari/Fasano it was way out of the way. And imo we spent too much time getting around Italy compared to just actually enjoying ourselves. It was still a great trip, don't get me wrong. I had a great time. But I would have had a better time if I didn't have to deal with the logistics of going to 4 different places in 10 days. The time in Naples and Florence felt pretty rushed tbh. And Naples is an absolute dump so that wasn't so bad - but Florence is brilliant so that was a bit shit although I think a lot of the hassle could have been easily avoided if we didn't have to deal with Tren Italia. Having said that... Italy's a lot smaller to drive around than Germany, so you'd need to consider the routes you'd be taking, the average driving time, etc... because imo, you don't want to eat up too much of your time just going place to place and you want to have more time to enjoy these cool new places you'll get to see, soak in the different culture, eat spatzl, drink tasty beers, etc. I know the "home base" idea doesn't really work out logistically for your planned trip. So I'd recommend trying to limit it to 3 big stops (you can always stop off at little towns and shit like that as you go between those big stops), if it were me. Especially if it's your first time in a country - I don't think you want to be constantly dealing with going from place to place.1 point

He stepped down because he claims the selectors he was appealing to had hired an outside party to sit in and said third party has made ‘offensive remarks’ towards Warner on a personal level. Then he announced he is tired of the media bullshit of sandpapergate and that it has taken a toll on his family in particular. Shortly afterwards he broke the news that the managerial staff and Cricket Australia knew about the ball tampering and encouraged it to happen.0 points
