We do Saarbrücken-Ensheim, it's even an International airport since it seves regularly lines to Palma, Antalya, Vienna, and - wait for it- Luxembourg! The last one is ridiculous, since an car travel to Luxembourg City lasts about an hour, and even the bus line that serves this route about 10 times a day takes only 1 and a half hour.. So this connection is absolutely environmentally sensible!1 point

The Eifel is very nice. And you are in the Netherlands within 30-40 minutes from Düsseldorf. And there's also the Sauerland nearby.1 point

Coincidentally, the host for the curation account @germany_iam is from Düsseldorf this week.1 point

The list only confirms my original claim, conservatism were per definitionem about preserving status-quo, and therefore inevitably pro-establishment! On a side note: The bolded values are debattable given the US have no governmental health insurance scheme, and anybody is allowed to walk around with a loaded gun.1 point

Knowing @CaaC (John) he'd probably be thinking @Dan actually owes him £10k+ if it comes off1 point

I thought I'd put those into Skybet just to get the odds... 1070-1 Tenner wins him £10,710,00. The most amazing thing about the way John has approached this game is that he's going for the Worldy bet. He does not come off the tee till he nails a hole in one. One win like that and he win's it, that simple lads Go on John boy.1 point

RESULTS Everyone has now played their first game! We have our first two losses of the season with @Bluewolf losing out with Middlesbrough and now moving to Millwall, and myself continuing my poor form from last season with an opening defeat with St Etienne to Grenoble. 5 draws in this round so @londonerlilie, @Viva la FCB, @Coma, @Rucksackfranzose (already picked), @CaaC (John) and @Tommy can choose to stick or twist with their teams. @Lucas recorded an opening weekend win with Southampton, as did @RandoEFC with Cambridge. @Stan backed his own team to win and they did, and @Storts's Ipswich beat Sunderland in their return to the Championship to bag 3 points for themselves and Storts. 3 joint leaders currently with all 3 not managing to retain a 100% win record - the 4 players behind them will be hoping to gain an advantage by retaining their own good starts to the season. A full round of cup fixtures besides my game being a league match!1 point

Apologies for being awol for so long, I had to deal with a few health niggles and then I was completely blindsided by the news that my Father had been fighting pancreatic cancer for 8 months and hadn't told me. Two weeks after I was informed he died. Literally 36 hours after I saw him for the last time. So all in all 2023 has been a bit of a mixed bag. I'm hoping to be more active and even resurrect Mafia Wars.0 points
