Reading that Jota, Fab and Naby will all be back for the return-leg against RBL next month? That's great news. Can't wait to see Jota back in this side and offering some much needed urgency in the midfield/attacking half. Also, this means Hendo could potentially move back into midfield as well.
I think he'll cross Gerrard easily if he stays on track doing what he does for two more seasons. To get to Liddell would be amazing but its also a bit hard in these times, the rest from 3 up means he'd have to retire at the club and stay consistent.

First the breach now the source code auctions.
Nah hes just going through a tough time and I think it might in everyone's better interest if he gets some time off once the derby is done. He just needs a break right now.

Starlink is taking orders and the pricing seems a bit absurd at the start but if it gets good I can see it dropping. What is more interesting is how ISPs are going to have to up their game now.
I played Control on a PC so I am not sure what the PS4 equivalent was. If you want a nice slow grind with a lot of combat the other game I can't recommend enough is Ghost of Tsushima.
I think part of the problem is just how clueless we were about the rate at which it was spreading and how so many countries had no idea this was in China. The travel shutdowns and vector mapping of the disease could have stopped it in its track really fast had we known. Sadly, everyone dropped the ball and the rest is history.
I think we've learned how to combat this now but I also think that this isnt the last big event we'll see of this kind. These diseases evolve just like we do so theres a high chance we'll see something this big again within another century.
Unbelievable what happened at the start of last year and how unprepared everyone was for what was to come. Its also nice to take a look at how we all processed the information.
I do agree and seeing his history is a clear indicator of how reliable he really is when it comes to injuries. However, he is one of our more experienced CBs and to have him out doesn't automatically allow Fab to move into midfield and just swap in the two new CBs. It's going to take time and I believe Matip will be with us next season because we've got other players that need to be offloaded too like Origi as an example. I also think this has just been freakishly bad luck because having Virgil out then Gomes and now Matip really isn't something anyone could have foreseen based on last season's performances.
Only time will tell I suppose. I do like the idea of Fab out of there but I think we'll see him there for some time as we get these two CBs integrated. Would have been nicer to have Matip in there personally but it is what it is now.
I think that they tried phone numbers but data privacy laws also came around and created holes that made it optional as well if I remember right. as you said it doesn't stop the ones who really want to continue doing what they are doing but it does deters a population that doesn't want the hassle. We have the tech to do this we just need the social media platforms to start accepting responsibility and living in a world of no repercussions.
As for the AI problem, the bigger issue isn't the failure but actually allowing the AI to learn and grow in the system. Recognizing any kind of intent is hard on day one or in some cases even year one but giving it time is never a bad thing. GPT was like a child with no context when it first came out but they let it stick around and learn. Now its able to mimic intent and that's scary from a writing perspective but its even more impressive that it was able to learn what it was doing wrong and rectify it long-term. Most times we expect tech to come out of a box and work as it should with very minimal failure and that's what a lot of these ventures suffer from with their user populations. I can't remember it off the top of my head but there is a successful watchdog AI out there in the wild that's able to auto-flag content with a higher accuracy rate but if I also remember right its purely experimental and wasn't accepted by big tech because they felt it would deter the natural flow of content and how users interacted with it which I think is just them looking out for their profit margins.
Well the only thing there is that they'd tie your account to your MAC (which is the most important part of the entire locking and banning process) so you get banned and its tied until its unlocked. Effectively meaning that if you are onion-layering it and its all automatic there's no real way to remove the ban without actually clearing the offense first. Of course this wont stop people from creating multiple accounts which then goes full circle back to social media apps finding smarter ways of dealing with this. I mean they have AI that reads content and suggests things to us you'd imagine it wouldn't be very hard to remove offensive content from an app in a similar fashion. But ... it hurts business so why do it at all and push the onus back on the users/community.
