Results - Gameweek Two

Casualties (3)

Villainous Valencia were responsible for two casualties this week as the numbers continue to dwindle heading into La Liga's winter break. Vallejo's 94th minute equaliser brought to joy for @Teso dos Bichos and @...Dan as only a Valencia win over Valladolid would have seen them into the next gameweek. Our other casualty this week was @Batard, who was the only one to pick Real Madrid this week, as they fired an unfortunate blank in a 0-0 draw with Athletic Bilbao.

Thanks for playing this round, folks, you have scored one point to add on to your season's tally.

Survivors (5)

Only two teams carried competitors through a second successful week here, as the resilience of the TF365 crew continues to pail in significance to some of last season's efforts. Still flying the flag in this round heading into 2020 though are @Storts, @Tommy, @Michael and @Stan, who all wisely backed Barcelona to defeat Alaves, in a comfortable 4-1 success. Joining them in Gameweek Three is @Rucksackfranzose, whose Levante came from behind to beat struggling Celta Vigo 3-1.

Congratulations to the five of you, that's two points on the board from this round with plenty more opportunity to make up ground in the season table.

Preview - Gameweek Three

Please be aware that the short winter break in Spain means that you have until after New Year to make your next picks. Games start on Friday 3 January. Remember not to choose a team you have used already!

Real Valladolid vs Leganes

Sevilla vs Athletic Bilbao

Valencia vs Eibar

Getafe vs Real Madrid

Atletico Madrid vs Levante

Espanyol vs Barcelona

Granada vs Mallorca

Real Sociedad vs Villarreal

Deportivo Alaves vs Real Betis

Celta Vigo vs Osasuna

Good luck!

Results - Gameweek Three

Casualties (1)

Just the one knocked out this week as Wu Lei's 88th minute equaliser denies Barcelona victory over Espanyol, and denies @Rucksackfranzose a route in the next Gameweek. Commiserations, Rucksack. You leave this round with 2 points and a slim possibility of a cheeky bonus point to follow.

Survivors (4)

In rather dull circumstances, Valencia were unanimously backed by this week's survivors, Maxi Gomez bagging the only goal of the game as the home side defeated Eibar, sending @Storts, @Tommy, @Michael and @Stan to a Gameweek Four showdown. That's 3 points on the board each and an increasingly likely chance to bolster your score with a podium finish and the bonus points that go with it.

Preview - Gameweek Four

I think we have a few newbies at this stage so I'll quickly recap the rules of the tie break. As we are left with fewer than five players, each of you needs to choose a 'first goalscorer' option as well as your weekly choice of match winner. In the event that all four of you make incorrect picks this week, or any future week from now, the top spot on the podium will be decided by who managed to pick a player to score correctly. If more than one of you pick a goalscorer, the time of their first goal will be used to split you. This is based on the time in their match that they scored, not at which point over the weekend, I.E. a 7th minute goal by Messi on Sunday afternoon would beat a 34th minute goal by Aspas on Saturday.

With that in mind, please pick a winning team and a goalscorer for this weekend. For absolute clarity, as long as at least one of you successfully picks a match winner, the tie breaker will not matter. Here are the fixtures for this gameweek, starting on Friday evening.

Leganes vs Getafe

Levante vs Alaves

Real Madrid vs Sevilla

Osasuna vs Real Valladolid

Eibar vs Atletico Madrid

Mallorca vs Valencia

Real Betis vs Real Sociedad

Villarreal vs Espanyol

Athletic Bilbao vs Celta Vigo

Barcelona vs Granada

As a reminder, you cannot choose a team you have already used to get this far. This leaves us with a completely level playing field here as all four of you have followed an identical Atletico Madrid - Barcelona - Valencia route to get this far.
