Spurs could be in real trouble here. They will be if there's enough evidence for it (given the cameras and CCTV these days you'd think it'd be easy to spot!). But as fans watching on TV (or just hearing about it) we have no idea of the level of it apart from presuming that it is bad given there's announcements required.
Dr. Gonzo Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Are we sure it’s racist Spurs fans? Because if you told me there was racism at a Chelsea match, I’d probably say “sounds about right.”

Yeah, the announcements give a fairly big hint as to the level of it all.
Bluewolf Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 That's probably one of the best games I have seen us play this season... Lampard out with the crowd...

Rudiger said to Azpilicueta he heard monkey noises from behind Kepa's goal which is where Spurs fans are. Azpilicueta then reported it to the ref.

Or as Stan says above.

And yet....
Dr. Gonzo Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Just seen a video of monkey chants towards Rudiger. A guy & his kid doing it, thats fucked up
Subscriber Dan+ Posted December 22, 2019 Subscriber Posted December 22, 2019 Knew Chelsea would get something. It's just one of those seasons where it seems like the majority of results that form tells you will happen, the opposite occurs. The league is absolutely full of inconsistent sides.

Bluewolf Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 One fan arrested I understand.... 3 stadium announcements, that's a first over here
Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted December 22, 2019 Subscriber Posted December 22, 2019 I think Chelsea & Lampard deserve the 4th spot, United's Ole take note, Lamps only managerial experience was with Derby County and yet he has come to Chelsea and made the team realise who they are and that's even with a transfer ban, god help us all when the ban gets lifted and he starts to buy or recommends who he wants.

I'm leading a league of 23 people on super 6 and I have no idea how? Results absolutely all over the place

What’s Ole taking note of? That he’s a shit manager compared to Frank Lampard?

Hmmm Frank's a likeable manager but he certainly has his flaws. The Chelsea fans on here will tell you that. Still, he's making an absolute mockery of Ole.

Inverted Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Watching Dier during build up is just sad. It's like he's seen good midfielders drop between the centre backs and thinks he should too, except he does it when they're under no pressure, and then leaves the midfield totally empty. Then when the centre backs are marked he runs off into midfield and they have no option but to lump it.

Actually had me enjoying the Hazard winner. As for Son today, he should come out crying so we can all pretend he's the real victim. Already worked once this season.

It shocked me more that he was so shocked when Taylor pulled out the red card. He'll be embarrassed watching that back.
Administrator Stan Posted December 22, 2019 Author Administrator Posted December 22, 2019 I know Jose loves to protect his players (what manager wouldn't?) but he's totally missed the point here. You can protect your players and also be honest. Not take the piss to the next level which he is a specialist in.

Much can be said of Erikson these days but at least he looked like he wanted the ball. It's still early days but that performance from Spurs was just as bad or worse than anything this year under Poch. I would be slightly worried if I was a Spurs fan because they reminded me a bit of United in the early days under Mourinho as well. Lacking ideas and relying a bit on individual brilliance, the first half consisted of Alderweireld and Sánchez on the ball, looking up with a lack of options and hence deciding to kick it long. We didn't have to do an awful lot to win the game.
