Which Browser do you use?

Curious as to what you use to browse the internet.

I used Opera. Very secure web browser which comes with a VPN. Not as quick as Chrome, but uses a lot less memory so while I I have a lot of Google products, I chose to not use Chrome.

Mostly Chrome with uBlock Origin + uBlock Origin extra for content blocking, simply as I need the fastest browser for work and after trying numerous others, nothing comes close to it in terms of pure speed and multitab browsing.

Chrome speed is second to none, but the amount of processing it consumed drove me up the wall. I rather enjoy Opera though, similar design, more private, and pretty quick.

Maybe I should give it another go sometime... Didn't like it when I tried it a few years back, felt way too slow for my liking. It's owned by a Chinese company now, isn't it?

Daily drivers in order

1. Chrome
2. Microsoft Edge

I'd drop Safari in there when I switch over to the Mac but its such a torrid browser I am surprised it scores as high as it does on ACID/Compatibility tests. Can't really escape opening them all at some point every week for work and I like Opera but I couldn't use it as a daily driver just because of my extension love in Chrome and how useful it is for work.

Yeah - a Beijing consortium. 

I've been trying to move away from Chrome, but could never really enjoy the lack of speed with Firefox, and Opera seem like a good company.

@Eco you ever try the Tor Browser? Its good if you want secure lines but does it ever not trust anything and you have to then make it do all kinds of things to get even simple sites to load.

I did back in the day, but not anymore. While security is obviously nice, I need speed and power.

To be honest, mine are usually just completely random. Like, completely - suggesting me to buy some fucking forest land in Latvia or advertising ship maintenance services in Norway

I was joking anyways, as we had that member on here (or maybe on the old site) that complained about seeing all the Single Arab women ads on the site, only to be informed by Rab and those with an understandings of ads to inform said user that they are based on search history of the user.

Firefox, used to use Opera for a lot of years and i liked but been using Firefox for a long time, use Chrome as a second browser but i don't like it at all, it's such a resourse hog and i sure as hell never noticed the supreme speed many of you mention, Firefox and Opera were always fast and perfect for me, never noticed Chrome to be faster, quite the contrary as it uses a lot of resources.

You know if you even visit a few sites with Arab girls hidden deep somewhere in the page you scrolled on it will be used as potential data when nothing else works. It's silly but thats how some algorithms work. I don't use Spotify and yet i'm begin told to be the "Best Data in the World" and get my kids Spotify.

I now use Opera GX which is basically Opera but with sleeker design. It has an inbuilt VPN which is rather rudimentary but still functional, as well as a forced dark mode for every website and compatibility with all Chrome etensions. It's also takes a lot less juice to run than some other browsers.

Others I've tried:

- Chrome: prefer not to use it because fuck Google
- Firefox: was a nice browser until it became the biggest resource hog on the market
- Yandex: a nice Chrome-based browser with some interesting features, but I stopped using it after it automatically set every page to German for some reason

Ads are certainly based on your viewing habits.

Now, as @Mel81x said, if you visit a sport site that happens to have a Asian player, or sponsor, and then anything to do with women, then the algorithm can certainly make the leap of you needing to see Single Asian Women.

The worst, or craziest, was that my wife and I were talking about taking a trip to the Bahamas when this is all over, and then we both got ads for Trips to the Bahamas.
