Raheem Sterling Completes Move to Chelsea

Recommended Posts

I think Sterling will do well for us for a couple of seasons assuming he joins.

He can play in a front three or a front two and think that versatility will mean he can do well for us.

Alarming for me we do not have movement in other positions yet there it is.

I was looking at some stats for Sterling today comparing his goals and chance creation at City and then vs some of our players and they are quite impressive across the seasons...

He's a very good player.

Like @Spike said though, I'd probably expect those numbers to drop off a bit since he's not going to be at Pep's City anymore and I do think their tactics play a big part in chance creation and goals compared to many other teams. Having said that, not that Tuchel plays a super negative brand of football - I just wouldn't expect the numbers to be quite as good.

I think he'll end up being a pretty successful signing for Chelsea. Like I said, he's a good player. I think he's somewhat underrated by a lot of people, but he's definitely got quality even though he's also a little shit.

He's numbers are inflated due to the amount of chances we make a game, from 6 yards out his goal conversion rate is 50/50

Under Pep he scored more goals and created more chances than De-Bruyne did.. I think this will be a good signing for us even if he is not scoring he will be creative..

I'm sure he'll continue to do well at Chelsea. Whether as wing attack or the false 9 thing. Surprises me City see him as surplus to requirements. Mahrez is older? Grealish unlikely to ever be the same player at City? Haaland & Alvarez both new to Premier League?

I would say the HG player thing would have been nice,  but Mahrez seems to be the more likely to produce in the big moment.   I think City are moving players out to maybe add another marquee forward.    That said Haaland is a massive upgrade on Jesus and Sterling.

As i explained the other day

leaving out Sterling, Jesus, Haaland & Alvarez we have this and still looking for more players to buy to boost the bench a bit. people forget how strong our sqaud is sometimes topped up by some of the best youth players around

Ederson

Walker - Dias - Laporte - Cancelo

De Bruyne - Rodrigo - Gundogan

Mahrez - Foden - Bernardo

BENCH:- Ortega, Stones, Ake, Zinc, Phillips, Greelish, Palmer, Delap, McAtee, Edozie, Doyle, Mbete,

Full strength as it stands including Haaland/Alvarez

Ederson

Walker - Dias - Laporte - Cancelo

De Bruyne - Rodrigo - Bernardo

Alvarez - Haaland - Foden

BENCH:- Ortega, Stones, Ake, Zinc, Phillips, Greelish, Gundogan, Mahrez, Palmer, Delap, McAtee, Doyle, Mbete,

With Ake & Sterling now off, it appears Yaya Toure might have been on to something, Pep now has zero dark skin players at City.

Only Charles, Mbete-Tabu, Wilson-Esbrand, Bobb, Gyabi, Hamilton, Borges, Edozie, Sodje etc etc :4_joy:

Who?.. xD

Does anyone outside of City know these players, was talking about the first team and subs; players who will actually be part of the squad not random youth players.

So you saying Pep has never bought any black players? :35_thinking:

did he just dive to get a penalty?

That's his best skill move :4_joy:

Misses an open goal and all I see is this...

Robin Hood No GIF

I just suppose we are going to have to shoulder the burden of getting extra dubious penalty shouts now... To be fair, City have carried him long enough in that regard..
