Sanches being asked to play deeper and more towards the left is annoying, just to accommodate an off-form Fernandes and, to a lesser extent, Joao Felix.

Sanches was doing well centrally, not just in this game, and it seems it's where to get the best out of him. He's not being as effective any more as Belgian players are able to get closer to him especially on the wing.

Don't really rate this Belgium team, can't see them winning the tournament. Can see Italy taking them out, Portugal should've done a lot better tonight, thought they were the better team but Belgium did defend well in the second half.

Portugal just didnt have it today and were a bit unlucky with their efforts. Belgium with a wonder strike but they really should have ended this game with another goal imo. Going to be interesting to see the quarter-final matchup now.
