This signing in general aint looking good. Guy hasn't ever looked comfortable when hes had a chance and this pre season was not really different. Destined to be sold after this I reckon.

Vidovic out on loan is our last bit of business in the transfer market.

In another note Wanner continues to impress so far at Heindenheim. I hope he keeps this up.

Boo, the greatest Müller of all times was, still is, and will probably always be Gerd!

Was more bait then anything xD... I wouldnt disagree though. It probably hits different for me for Thomas as Ive had the pleasure of watching his entire career thusfar.

Poor guy, just rotten luck. Hope he comes back stronger. The end of the tweet is if no complications and everything goes as planned it could be as soon as 3 months.

This is from Bild but all the points make allot of sense and seem pretty inline with what would be a realistic ask from Jamal's side of things in regards to his upcoming extension/contract talks.

Contract negotiations between Bayern and Jamal Musiala have started. Max Eberl and Christoph Freund had a meeting with Musiala and his management last week at the 'Käfer' restaurant in Munich. It is now clear to everyone which 5 points will be crucial in order to reach an agreement over a new deal

1- Musiala should be the #10 in the system around which the team is built. During the meeting, the bosses made it clear to the player that he's the legitimate successor to Thomas Müller in the position

2- Musiala should be Bayern's driving force in the international market. Eberl reiterated during the meeting that he sees Musiala as one of the faces of the club in the future, representing Bayern especially abroad

3- The team should continue to be strengthened - Eberl and Freund were impressed with how Musiala is intensively thinking about the structure the team. The transfer of Michael Olise, in particular, impressed him. Musiala is also in regular contact with Florian Wirtz. A contract extension of Musiala would be an incentive for Wirtz to join Bayern next year

4- The collective goal is to win the Champions League. The individual goal is to win the Ballon d'Or - Musiala insisted during the meeting that his biggest goal is to win the Champions League. Although he already has the title in his cabinet, he was only a substitute in 2020 and doesn't feel like a 'real Champions League winner'. He wants to contribute to the title, which would then improve his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or

5- The salary: all 4 points above were discussed in last week's meeting, but the salary was not discussed yet. Musiala currently earns around €9m gross per year, which should be significantly increased with a contract extension making him one of the club's top earners. It remains to be seen whether Bayern's offer would be over or under €20m/year. This point should be discussed in the next meeting

@Viva la FCB if you could only have Musiala or Kane in the squad, who would you keep?

Thats a doozie of a question Staniel. Ill forego age and contract situation etc for the sake of arguement. Id probably go Kane just because its seemingly getting rarer and rarer to find a true world class #9.

I knew you'd appreciate it :D

Arguably would choose the same because of his goal-scoring ability. He's ridiculously prolific. I think age comes into it though, and that's a strong point for Musiala; so young yet so talented you wonder what his ceiling is.

If age comes into it its a much tougher arguement, the skies the limit for Musiala as hes gotten better every season it seems. Our team without him just looks much more lethargic right now, he creates space all around him when hes on the ball.

All that being said there are more #10's around that could slot in, not to say easily replaceable but there are allot more options then say trying to replace Kane. It was the initial problem when Lewy left as well, Kane was the seemingly obvious fit but there really wasn't anyone else. I guess thats why we tried the Mane route and a formation change which clearly failed.

I guess Ito's debut will have to wait even longer. You cant make this shit up.

Hiroki #Ito had to undergo another operation on his metatarsal. This was carried out today, Tuesday, and went well. However, the defender will have to take another break for the time being.

We wish you a speedy recovery!

Palhinha headed back to Munich with a groin injury. Reportedly to be sidelined for about 3 weeks. Not ideal timing at all with a fairly tough stretch of matches in the short term here. Goretzka redemtpion tour is on baby.

I'd pay to see @MUFC and @Spike massage oil into Palhinha's groin, whilst @Eco makes whale noises in the corner to keep him relaxed.
