And that should convince Southgate to not be stupid by dropping Saka from RW. Changed the game and is always a solid performer.

Im less inclined to lean towards “what a turn around” and more inclined to lean towards “what a shower of shit” from Germany. But Bellingham and the build up play since we equalised has been genuinely good.

0-2 Germany. “See, England come up against a half decent team and are found out”

3-2 England. “See, Germany capitulated, it’s not that England are actually any good and this Germany team aren’t great”.

Think it's only fair to give credit where it's due.

If England didn't capitalise on Germany being shit then there'd still be moaning.

And as that's said, Pope fumbles Gnabry's shot and Havertz picks up the rebound to score.

Pope has looked shaky most of the game.

So many wanted Pope over Pickford too. Can't see Pickford making that kind of error :what:

Nick Pope is a bit shite isn’t he.

Nice to see Luke Shaw more interested in his post match Burger King than following the striker and the ball.

Yeah, Pope's not been great for England has he? He's had some excellent games at club level, but when it comes to England, Pickford has been our most consistent performer. Pickford almost always been a solid keeper for England and very reliable.

Woeful first touch from Saka.

Had to go straight on. Ter Stegen's save was very good though.

Would be a mistake to view this as a good result, we’ve conceded 3 times against a terrible Germany side and other than a stand out performance from Bellingham and a run of goals, we were pretty poor throughout. James, Rice, Shaw and Foden all pretty forgettable/undercooked and both Pope and Maguire were dogshit.

This team needs a lot of work to get back to its previous levels (work that shouldn’t involve Harry Maguire), let alone improving beyond what we’ve already achieved.

For England:

Positives: some of the attacking play of Kane, Sterling, Mount & Saka was impressive. Also, I am properly starting to see what the Bellingham hype is all about. I hope he stays at Dortmund than risk losing it all at an English Big 6 club.

Negatives: Maguire & Pope gifted a goal each. Without that England could actually have had a big confidence boosting result. It really was there for the taking.

Harsh on James and Rice.

Think James got better as the game went on and was a good outlet on the right, even more so when Saka came on to support him.

Havertz scored from outside the box.

Wow.

Werner was crap inside the box.

Not wow.

James was better when Saka came on but for a lot of that game he was just giving the ball away. Rice much the same, he had a decent last ten, few slide tackles here and there, but he spent most of the game losing the ball and struggling to win tackles.

I take solace in the fact that if Germany conceded 3 goals to us that means they aren't very good either.

No Neuer and no Rudiger might have a lot to do with that

Amazed he still plays let alone gets selected.

Germany not having a quality CF/ST going to hurt them.
