Cicero
Should of been the first player to have been signed. Ridiculous. He and Enzo should of been seen as priorities for either now or the summer.

Brighton should squeeze Chelsea and Arsenal into a panic overpay, which will be anything over 80m. 60m is peanuts for Caicedo.

Unless it was Newcastle who had bid that then you would be saying it was a more than fair amount and that Brighton were keeping Caicedo hostage. Caicedo is around 80m starting, and he is controlled for 5 years. 60m would be daylight robbery

6666
Caicedo has asked to leave because he has Chelsea & Arsenal as options. Brighton have told him to take time off until the transfer window shuts. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/64438574

Administrator Stan Posted June 6, 2023 Author Administrator Share Posted June 6, 2023 Chelsea now interested in signing him https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-fc-caicedo-transfer-ugarte-update-brighton-b1085569.html Quote Chelsea will switch their focus to a move for Brighton’s Moises Caicedo after cooling interest in Sporting’s Manuel Ugarte, who now looks set to join Paris Saint-Germain. Both Chelsea and PSG agreed to pay Ugarte’s £52million release clause but the French club offered him a bigger wage package and the Blues have backed away from talks. Chelsea will instead target securing a deal for Caicedo ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool, as they rebuild their midfield under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino. Caicedo could cost more than £80m after establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League at Brighton. But Chelsea are optimistic they can reach a deal for Caicedo and are thought to have discussed a move for him in talks with Brighton over Levi Colwill. Chelsea rejected a £30m bid for Colwill from Brighton last week and have insisted the 20-year-old central defender is not for sale. Colwill enjoyed a brilliant season on loan at Brighton and Pochettino has indicated he is in his plans at Stamford Bridge.

OrangeKhrush
this is dragging on to, didn't Brighton say they wanted rice money and Chelsea have a lot to drop. 100m or get out of the kitchen.

On Brighton's side, yes. There were suggestions however from reputable outlets that a deal could be done £80-85m. The club's stance is to be patient. They don't want to pay over the odds like Cucurella again. This also isn't a player that will need time to adapt or anything like that. He will slot straight in.
