I've lost absolutely all hope now. Even in the depths of this season under Rodgers, and even that catastrophe against Bournemouth a month ago I still thought there was a way that you could lift this team. But in 90 (well 45 really) minutes at Craven Cottage on Monday I realised this is a beaten team with zero bottle and zero care. If we're going to lose (we are, absolutely convincingly) lets at least have the others (preferably Leeds and Everton) take some points so that we can just get this shit over with.

If Smith sets us up anything like the last few games we are going to be absolutely demolished. I'm talking 7/8.

Can you imagine how many goals Liverpool will get if we don't play a DM again xD

All the Liverpool lads on here will come on and say stuff like 'we won't win, it'll be difficult, won't be as easy as you're saying'.

Not a chance in hell we draw or win this. Liverpool thought they had it easy vs Leeds. This will be consummately easier.

We'll only start playing when it's 6-0 orb7-0.

I always try and not do predictions shortly after our game because I go and put something reactionary but I really do think if we go with the attitude "we need to go for it, fuck any defending" and consequently play no holding midfielder, I really do think Liverpool could hit us for 7/8 goals. If a half arsed Fulham can hit 5.

Smith's failing, and the failing that is going to probably cost him ever managing a PL game beyond West Ham in three weeks is that he's done nothing to try and shore up the structure of the midfield. There is a case at this point to just play 3-5-2 or 4-3-1-2.

I'd actually go for the latter here. We beat them with it last season.

I actually wouldn't be that shocked if we got something off City. Not saying I expect us to but we'll never have a more favourable set of circumstances. They've got Madrid midweek and can afford to drop points once in their last three without letting Arsenal in. We're probably going in with the best momentum we've had all season, knowing that a result, especially a win, would pretty much see us safe, unless there are nasty surprises on Saturday, and that we can afford to lose and still have two more reasonable chances of points remaining, so no pressure on us after the Brighton victory.

Of course, most likely City rock up, make six changes but still have enough to control the game, bag a goal in each half and run out winners. But if we start just well enough and Goodison gets just nasty enough then you never know.

Only thing that stops you I think is your shock factor may have been used up in the Brighton game. Think Man City will know they can't take it lightly. It reeks of 0-1 to be honest.

There’s no chance that Leicester put in another performance as bad as the Fulham one. They are at home, the crowd just won’t allow it. They’ll demand a fight from the team, and that sure to spur these fuckers on.

We SHOULD win, we have the momentum and obviously the players to do it. I just hope we continue to treat every game as a final, and get passed them.

1-2

Just fucking fight Leeds, that's all I ask. It's a home game and I want to see us use the crowd and give it everything.

Every drop of blood, sweat and tears required tomorrow. And that is the absolute minimum requirement, no less.

If that's still not enough then fair enough, damage has been done way before that. At least we can take some pride from fighting.

This goalkeeping from Pope is so poor it actually almost looks like match fixing. Yet the next Super Sunday or MNF they'll be talking about Pope vs Ramsdale again as if Pickford makes mishaps every week and with no reference to this mistake. xD

Don't get what's he's thinking. Standard rule for goalkeepers not to parry the ball back into danger.

Gnonto needs to be on second half. Get Bamford off and put Rodrigo down the middle with Harrison on the right. I’d take greenwood off for that Forshaw because the midfield isn’t working hard enough.
