Reluctant Striker Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Newcastle vs Villa For Villa: Jacob Ramsey was already out for the opening of the season. Now Emi Buendia has a 'serious knee injury'. Both appeared to be the obvious right footed wingers. So suddenly the wing options are both left footers, Diaby & Bailey. The other left footer, Traore. Coutinho. The younger Ramsey (being pursued by Burnley) Philogene Bidace & advanced McGinn. Not ideal. But not disaster. Both matches were 1 sided home victories last season. A recent 3-3 pre season match. I'd back it to be match of the opening weekend. Despite Chelsea vs Liverpool.
Redcanuck Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 Foden starts, Stones doesn't. Rico Lewis also starts so I am hearing,
Happy Blue Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 Tonight's team is a bit of a surprise Ederson Walker - Akanji - Ake - Lewis Bernardo - De Bruyne - Rodrigo - Foden Alvarez - Haaland BENCH:-Ortega, Phillips, Kovacic, Grealish, Laporte, Gvardiol, Gomez, Palmer, McAtee
Happy Blue Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 Lewis will drop in and out of the midfield like Stones has done recently, Dias & Stones missing completely. bench could be stronger
Happy Blue Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 Wonder why Stones & Dias have been left out ... Pep out!!!! Way too early for this nonsense Pep, Way too early

6666 Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 Time of the year where I start to wonder if I can subscribe to both Sky Sports & BT Sport and if it'd be worth it.

OrangeKhrush Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 not sure who gets the start tomorrow, we have a lot of competition for limited spots. Lewis Miley was seen training with the first team. I think Harvey Barnes gets the nod down the left and Isak through the middle.
Administrator Stan Posted August 11, 2023 Author Administrator Posted August 11, 2023 That didn't take long Rodri heads back for Haaland to sidefoot in after 4 mins.
Happy Blue Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 Not good, De Bruyne injured, only had half a game pre season ..off for Kovacic

Bluewolf Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 De Bruyne can't hack the league in a top team anymore.. He has only been on 20 minutes and he is knackered already, he had to go off for a rest..

Administrator Stan Posted August 11, 2023 Author Administrator Posted August 11, 2023 Rodri just bosses things doesn't he? Shame he's such a sore loser though.
