34 shots, 16 on target and an xG of 3.93 over the course of our first two home games and we've scored 0 goals.

Conceded 3 shots on target across both games in total and lost both 1-0.

There's elements of bad luck in there and with Calvert-Lewin getting a freak injury against Villa but the people running the club have left us vulnerable to any slight misfortune again.

Spent all summer dicking around over transfers and ended up without a proper striker. Beto or Adams in in July probably earns us 4 or 6 more points in these first games. The cunts in charge never learn.

@Danny there will never be a winner in this war.

It’s comical at this point lol. It’s like theres a degree of shared physicality where we will think we’ve out run or out-sprinted each other and then wam, someone catches up

Just a little bit on Wolves, it does seem quite a dramatic fall from being a club chasing European football. But, they do still have a squad with a few goal scorers & creators in it. Which is why I do see them having enough to stay safe. With a manager who sees & accepts that as the job.

It will just get more difficult each season though, with the downward direction they seem to be going.

You have to wonder, for a side that scored so few last year, painfully obvious they needed a striker, possibly even two with DCL's fitness unreliability, that they have got to 5 days away from the window closing still without one.

You don't score goals. It's a historic problem. It's obvious to everyone but the lack of a plan to have no one in at this point must be frustrating.

They are two big home games against winnable opposition in the context of things for Everton too. Not clever.

Brighton having an absolute mare. West Ham have been great on the break.

And defensively. They've blocked absolutely everything.

I’m surprised that after last weeks defensive performance against Chelsea, that Brighton haven’t tried more direct shots. Always annoys me the absolute lack of shots taken against teams playing two banks of four.

Agreed. They've had plenty of opportunity too despite the number of blocks from some others. Ferguson is young and decent but he's not been too good today.

Havertz might come good, but he shouldn't be a starter right now. Rice - Partey - Odegaard is the obvious choice in midfield. White back to right back with Gabriel back at CB. Arteta is being reckless with his experiments.

Making too many changes from a side that did well last season is unnecessary.

You don't have to wonder. The club has no money because of how we've been run by Kenwright and Moshiri. The reason we've waited ages to do business is because the Director of Football is tasked with signing the 6 players we need with a budget that would get you 2 players of the standard required if you're lucky. So we've waited to see if other clubs might get desperate and lower their asking prices closer to the deadline because if you can save a couple of million on a deal or two that might be enough for one more loan fee. So here we are three games and no points into the season finally forking out for Beto and maybe Sulemana who have both been on our list since January, let alone the start of this window.
