Goku de la Boca Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 This can spawn a very interesting debate. For me it's an easy choice, the bear. Hippos kill rate speaks for itself. Crocodiles always attack when you get close. Tigers I am not sure about, but I know that bears barring Polar Bears don't attack you unless they are very hungry or with their cubs.
Moderator Tommy Posted December 28, 2023 Moderator Posted December 28, 2023 Is that a brown bear or a grizzly?
Goku de la Boca Posted December 28, 2023 Author Posted December 28, 2023 Just now, Tommy said: Is that a brown bear or a grizzly? That spawned my mind as well - but to be honest they are similar towards humans. The bears that do attack you directly are Polar Bears because humans are the same size as Seals, the animal they prey on. Grizzly's eat Salmon.
Moderator Tommy Posted December 28, 2023 Moderator Posted December 28, 2023 Yea, I'll take the bear. Remember: If it's brown, lay down If it's black, fight back If it's white, good night
nudge Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 I'll need more details. I have to survive 20 minutes WHERE? In their natural habitat? In a room? Just a random encounter in the wilderness?

MUFC Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Outside of water then the croc. They always have to stay still after intense movement due to a build up of lactic acid. Do Hippos have the highest rates of killing humans out of the 4 choices?
Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted December 28, 2023 Subscriber Posted December 28, 2023 It would be a croc or hippo for me as long as I am near a big tree and can climb up it.

Dr. Gonzo Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Can I bring a laser pointer? If so - the tiger. Otherwise probably the crocodile or the aligator or whatever the fuck that is. Cos I can climb a tree and I doubt they can.
Spike Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Crocs are fast on land but they have really poor agility, I’m slow with poor agility, so all I have to do is die after thinking I can zig zag a croc

However as I said Hippos are a stupid choice to go with. If you fall from the tree you're done.

What are we fighting the animals off with? Our fists? If so... uhh I pick living over participating.

It would come out of nowhere and attack from behind after stalking you for 20 minutes beforehand. I'd choose the bear, unless it was a polar bear. There is more chance of it leaving you alone. Saying that a Tiger or Croc may only attack when hungry, while a Hippo would kill you just because it thinks you are a cunt.
Goku de la Boca Posted December 30, 2023 Author Posted December 30, 2023 1 hour ago, Carnivore Chris said: This is precisely my point, most temperate bears won't attack you. The big exception is if they are with their cubs. There are so many videos of people just chilling with bears. It is nowhere near as dangerous as one thinks. Now POLAR BEARS on the other hand, those do attack you because they do not eat Salmon. They eat Seals, which are the same size as humans.
Goku de la Boca Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 See what I mean when I say bears aren't super dangerous? Still need to be wary but they don't attack on sight like other carnivores.
