Bluebird Hewitt Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I've most likely missed something, but why are there big gaps between prem games?

Redcanuck Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Lots of chances in a wide open Burnley/Luton game, but neither side seems to have that final touch to put the ball in the back of the net. Of course right in the middle of typing Burnley score.
Redcanuck Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Looked like the Burnley keeper was fouled. An old basketball pick, blocking the defensive player from getting to the ball.
Administrator Stan Posted January 12 Author Administrator Posted January 12 Happy that Luton equalised but Burnley's keeper has clearly been blocked there by the other Luton player. Most other games that's called a foul so it's the lack of consistency rearing it's head again.

I thought it was probably a foul but don't think it was enough of one to over turn the original decision.
OrangeKhrush Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Again not highly expectant, if we got a draw it would likely be seen as a win
Administrator Stan Posted January 13 Author Administrator Posted January 13 What a goal by Bobb. Great to have De Bruyne back playing.
Dave Posted January 13 Posted January 13 They're going to move in to second gear in February with KDB back.

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 14 Subscriber Posted January 14 Why is this VAR call taking so long ffs. He was offside, and the only reason he was nearly onside is because Danjuma was fouled. Great finish from Moreno and disappointing from our lot to switch off regardless. Play to the whistle.

Administrator Stan Posted January 14 Author Administrator Posted January 14 I'd have thought it'd be for a foul as opposed to offside. The offside they chose the guy didn't even cross the ball in. But it's quite clearly a foul anyway. Didn't need to take that long to disallow.
Administrator Stan Posted January 14 Author Administrator Posted January 14 Is the ref David Coote? Utter shite.

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 14 Subscriber Posted January 14 Calvert-Lewin has to score there. I know he doesn't get much service and sacrifices a lot for the team but he's also not doing nearly well enough with the chances he does get and it's increasingly costing us now. I saw during the week his goals scored compared to the xG of his shots this season is the worst in the league.
Administrator Stan Posted January 14 Author Administrator Posted January 14 Mykolenko falls over and gets a free kick Ref has no idea what to do. Just guessing at this point.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 14 Subscriber Posted January 14 Not great, not terrible. The first half looks very different if Calvert-Lewin converts that chance.

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 14 Subscriber Posted January 14 Very stop start this. 70 minutes in and you can't really say either team has particularly got going.
Administrator Stan Posted January 14 Author Administrator Posted January 14 Proper tackle by Tarkowski. Not sure what Villa's problem is with that. And he gets booked. Like I said, Coote is just guessing now. Bowing down to the pressure.
Whiskey Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Youri Tielemans is one of those players that you'd love to see with a career ending injury. Coote has been guessing his decisions all game, he's a massive flannel.
