This thread has got to be brought back as it was one of the better one's on the old site(when at its most active) and it doesn't seem like a music section without it.

I'll start it off with this new banger:-

Meth's verse is class.

Yesssssssss. This is a must.

That's not bad that, not heard it before. Meth's is the best verse imo.

Devlin's most recent fire in the booth following his great one years ago.

Anyone hear this? One of my favourite releases last year, Hov kills it.

Can't wait for King Push to finally come out.

Big Pun's verse has to be one of the greatest of all time. Only one that could make this track even better is Big L

Jadakiss kills it on that as well. Very underrated.

What do you think of Big Pun's son, Chris Rivers, Erick?

4:38 He absolutely smashes it on that. The rest of them are pretty average though for me, but he smashes it. Beast.

Kendrick Lamar's been teasing his fourth album on Instagram. It's got me very excited, I wonder if he'll follow in the same vein as To Pimp a Butterfly with the jazz fusion or if he'll change things up again.

Are you familiar with Logic? Great rapper, this is his first album from 2014:

He's done some great shit since then as well, Bobby Tarantino mixtape is definitely worth a listen.

This is one of my favourites from him if we don't count the Under Pressure album which is as a whole a masterpiece imo.

Mr Fantastik, who does the first verse and the hook on this song is one of rap's biggest mysteries. A talented rapper whose only appearances are on MF DOOM's Rap Snitches and Knishes and King Geedorah's Anti-Matter,  which also features MF DOOM. No one knows his identity. Some believe he is the alter ego of a rapper named Rodan who has also collaborated with DOOM although this is far from universally accepted, others believe he's just someone DOOM knew and wrote for because he had a great voice although others point that his technical ability belies that. Odds are we'll never know. Just thought I'd share because it's a fun little tidbit about the song.

Gza's verse dick's on anything i've heard out of Stormzy's mouth, rap has gone backward it's like the dark ages.

Terrible news about Prodigy. Yet another rapper taken early(this time due to illness) at such a young age. It's happened to too many now. Mobb Deep will always be one of the greatest duos ever. You couldn't beat them, although Prodigy also held it down as a solo artist as well and was massively underrated in this respect.

His Blackbox, Warm Up Session & Mad About Bars were great. His Fire In The Booth is pretty brilliant as well.

R.I.P Prodigy.

Is shook ones part 2 the greatest hip hop instrumental of all time? I think it's definitely top 3. The whole Infamous album is a hip hop classic.

I don't think you can beat their beats in general personally. Mobb Deep beats will always be the best :congrats:

Incredible:-
