From this, Forest and Ipswich I want probably 6 points but then bang on 6 means we lose one of them and I think these are quite possibly the three least loseable fixtures of the lot. You don't want to hand Southampton or Ipswich three points, and losing at home to Forest doesn't bare thinking about.

This is the most winnable. I've been pretty vocal in my criticism of Southampton and Martin a while. In a way I'd sooner draw and keep him in a job xD

We beat them 5-0 and 1-4 last season. We can absolutely beat them. He won't start the team I want though. I really wish he'd get both Mavididi and Fatawu on from the start and then bring Ayew on if we're ahead. But he'll start Ayew.

I think we like to make things difficult than they need to be, and I still see a fragility in our team, both physically and mentally. Just got a feeling Southampton will also see this as a winnable game. I've still got memories of the game 2 seasons ago - we saw it as winnable, get season back on track/kickstart it etc. We missed a few chances and they win with a solitary goal.

If we approach the game like we did last season, with a high press and hassling their defenders as they love to play out from the back, I think we'll do well. Another reason why I can see him starting Ayew, even though Fatawu is showing him up defensively. He's got a fascination with him even though he does nothing for us in an attacking sense. Ayew is the perfect player to help see out a game, not get us into the winning positions to protect.

We should be going to Ipswich and winning to be honest. Not that they're pushovers but we won plenty of these fixtures last season and we need to have a mid-table mindset rather than a relegation battle mindset otherwise the latter will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. These aren't pushovers and it's not good for us that they're winless so far because they'll be viewing this as a must-win if they have hopes of staying up.

Yeah pretty much entirely agree. I don't think people would've turned down this league position but I'm getting worried that history is repeating itself a bit where a decentish position is papering over the cracks. But then I'm not as sure as last time either. I think our performances are a bit worrying but Cooper does seem to have this bizarre knack of getting results better than what he seems to serve up in performance and it isn't dissimilar to what he did at Forest. I think the difference there is he had huge credit in the bank while here the fans just aren't really taking to him at all.

These are absolutely beatable but I fear he'll handbrake us to a draw or worse. He showed against Everton he'll never start both Mavididi and Fatawu too - if he won't there he simply won't ever.

Don't expect anything but a loss from our game this weekend... Although we are doing ok we ship goals and when we play against a tight defensive unit we are struggling to get decent chances on target like when we played Forest.. 1 or 2 nil to Liverpool I reckon.. Would be happy with a draw and over the moon with a win but can't see it sadly.. We have a positive mentality but need to be more solid in defence as it will be the one area where we will let ourselves down, still it's early days and don't expect anything from games like this or City etc..

Strange how us, Southampton, Arsenal and Bournemouth have all played each other one after another.

Notice how us, Southampton, Ipswich and Everton all play each other when the others face each other too - coincidentally four of the sides you'd expect to struggle, and two of the matchdays are in May. I'm doubtful of coincidence.

0-1 Ndiaye. Should have been our third goal after Calvert-Lewin missed a one on one and McNeil took a touch too many inside the box earlier. Ipswich should have had one before as well mind.

Ipswich have just been awarded a penalty identical to the Calvert-Lewin/Burn incident from our last game when we didn't get a penalty. Literally hilarious.

I was expecting a lot more from Ipswich here. Hopefully in the second half we can complete the behemoth task of winning from 2-0 up.

It's hard to not see the promoted trio all going down again.

Wolves are here to help. Everton still will be as well if we manage to lose 3-2 again.

Southampton fucked up their lead. Only 1 point from 8 games now. If they don't get good results before the next international break against Everton & Wolves then Southampton should really get rid of Russell Martin. Their defending and game management is terrible.

Sides battling relegation shouldn't trust managers that can't figure out that there's a difference between playing a certain way when you're one of the better sides in a league and when you're a major underdog in a league. Guaranteed trouble.

Would rather have seen Leicester lose or draw from a selfish perspective. That's an absolutely disastrous couple of hours for Ipswich and Southampton.

I think Leicester are quite fluky to be on 9 points and that they'll get reeled back in eventually but if they keep finding ways to pick up points it's going to be nervy times for Wolves and Palace and any of the other bottom half teams that go on a shitty run.

I wouldn't rule out Bournemouth slipping into a bit of trouble either. 8 points so far and 3 of them were gifted to them by us after we had them quite comfortably beat.

Southampton & Ipswich will certainly go.

Leicester might have enough from an experience point of view to stay, and they're getting points from somewhere which probably bodes well, although if I had to put money on it I'd say they just fall short. Dropping in Game week 37/38 perhaps.

Palace & Wolves will get out of it with a managerial change, but wouldn't be at all surprised to see Bournemouth pulled in (as they've gone under the radar this season).
