OrangeKhrush
Need to keep the momentum, got a rough December with Man U, Liverpool and Villa sandwiched in with a cup quarter final against a nuggety Brentford.
Subscriber Dan+ Posted November 20 Subscriber Share Posted November 20 Buonanotte suspended. Vardy, Ayew, Fatawu probably all out too. Comfortable away win. After the anomaly freak stat that we'd scored in every game we are now destined to go on a run of games without scoring, which started in our last. 0-2. Administrator Stan Posted November 20 Author Administrator Share Posted November 20 Fatawu has had surgery on his knee. He's out. Buonanotte suspended. They're the two key players out. I think Vardy will play some part but I don't think we're gonna be scoring. Easy Chelsea win. They've got more than enough depth to a) choose from for their starting XI and b) revert to from their bench with the amount of players available. Maresca is also a better manager than Cooper and they're scoring for fun right now. We're gonna need some miraculous luck and things to go our way to get a favourable result. LFCMike
Alisson and Trent both out this weekend. Alisson won't make Real Madrid and Trent is a doubt Liverpool manager Arne Slot on whether Alisson, Diogo Jota and Trent Alexander-Arnold may return to face Real Madrid or Manchester City: "That is something that we have to wait and see. The last few days of recovery are tricky as they have to go from isolated training to group training, it’s difficult for me to judge. "All I can say is that with Alisson and Jota I don’t expect them to be available for that game, Trent is in between."
Dave
I imagine we will be competitive and then once subs are made the strength of Villa's squad will just gazump us. I say this every year, which makes it even more frustrating we don't learn, but January can't come soon enough.

How do you think you might have done if Maresca had stayed with Leicester?? Still think you would have been struggling or might he have got a bit more from the squad?? Personally I don't think Leicester have the depth of squad to push for much more than mid table perhaps as things stand now... Difficult to judge him with the swap to Chelsea considering the amount of players he has to pick from..

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted November 23 Subscriber Share Posted November 23 Today feels like yet another game where if we win we will actually have breathing space but we're allergic to breathing space, it has to constantly be one or two losses from oblivion, so I suspect we'll fail to do so. Honestly just tired of this season already. It seems increasingly likely that Dyche will be relieved of his duties shortly after the Friedkins take over so just waiting for the next chapter to be honest. Dave
That bench is an absolute disgrace given we've been in the Premier League for over a decade. It feels like we survive in spite of Steve Parish as opposed to because of Steve Parish sometimes.
OrangeKhrush
Steve Cooper is not Prem level, Maybe someone like Potter will see the appeal in the Leicester job
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted November 23 Subscriber Share Posted November 23 Norgaard sent off for Brentford. I feel sorry for him because he's just going for a cross but it's ended up being a pretty dangerous collision.
Dave
The penalty Villa got was so soft I was glad we went up the other end and scored.

Defensively still lacking but Maresca knew how to get us to score and would be able to get the best out of our players. Cooper seems intent on playing players out of position or not using them properly. We may still have been in some kind of battle but I'd have had more faith we'd stay up. And our transfer business would have been more shrewd too I think.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted November 23 Subscriber Share Posted November 23 10 minutes left still but this is one of the worst displays attempting to break down 10 men that you'll see.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted November 23 Subscriber Share Posted November 23 That's enough for me I'm afraid. The day after this takeover is completed needs to be the first day of the post-Dyche era. He deserves a lot of credit and gratitude for grinding out safety in the last two seasons but he has absolutely no idea how to progress the football club. That today was everything wrong with us. 45 minutes against ten men to go and show what you've got in attack and all we served up was a few 30 yard pot shots and 45 minutes of aimless crosses. This lot clearly don't practice any attacking patterns of play in training. We haven't scored in 3 games and we won't be scoring at Old Trafford next week either. If we then don't beat Wolves at home we'll have 2 wins in 14 with the five teams we haven't faced being 5 of the top 6 in Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Forest and Arsenal. Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted November 23 Subscriber Share Posted November 23 The awful and cowardly approach to football matches counts for something as well. Thirty odd thousand people are paying to watch that each week. You could have a more exciting time watching paint dry than watching Everton try to play football under this manager. Happy Blue
We getting spanked, cant wait for Liverpool 6 defeats in a row ..this will continue until mid Jan at the earliest, we have no midfield. Peps the only manager that can lose 5 games in a row and get a 2 year contract extension lol

It seems like your board kidnapped Ten Hag, even the timing is perfect since he got sacked, City started losing non-stop.
