Garth Crooks said it was the worst tackle he's seen in 40 years. He didn't see much i guess, seen the tackle it was bad and it was a red. Worse in the last 40 years? Administrator Stan Posted August 26, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted August 26, 2017 Ayew doubles Swansea's lead. Merson said it was a Kelly mistake so it was probably a really good goal from Swansea where he couldn't do anything about it.

Administrator Stan Posted August 26, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted August 26, 2017 apparently an indirect free-kick was given in the Watford area after Doucoure's high boot but I thought they were given as penalties now? Charlie Nicholas on Soccer Saturday thinks it shouldn't have even be a free-kick.

IgnisExcubitor
Nope, Clark did score. Assist was from Ritchie. Anyways, Hayden and Marino have looked decent for Newcastle today in that midfield.

Rafa Beneathus
Got home from Ibiza at 2:30 so fucked the match off. Gutted as we have been brilliant. Merino is quality.

Guest
Debuts are never easy, but that wasn't great from Andre Carrillo. Played with little confidence to get forward. I'll give him time as he hasn't played a game since June and probably hasn't trained much with Watford yet. I will say this though, Carrillo has to be up there for one of the most overrated Peruvian players of all time. He's good, but why is he so good on FIFA, Football Manager, why do people outside Peru think he's the best Peruvian player? He's a good player but he's lazy, has a poor end product and at times lacks some confidence. Edison Flores and Paolo Hurtado for me are both better and they aren't at a big a club or big a league as Andre. The fact he's one of the better players on this Watford team speaks for how poor a side it is. Relegation candidates without a shadow of a doubt. Not Watford itself, but I've seen Carrillo and a lot of those players (Britos, Okaka, Pereyra in Serie A, Richarlison in Brazil, Cleverley at Manchester when I watched the PL regualarly). Not sure how many I'd rank above Carrillo who really isn't all that to begin with. Pereyra perhaps.
Administrator Stan Posted August 26, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted August 26, 2017 Richarlison has started well this season for Watford. Came on vs Liverpool and made a good impact. Was the star player against Bournemouth.

I am surprised your lot isn't going for Sakho. Despite the bid from West Brom, he is keen on joining Palace, and I am not exaggerating but he will vastly improve your defence for starters. Hell, he would improve ours if he is paired with Matip. 30 mil is worth the investment if it improves your chances of survival.

An especially poor start given the team they've faced: Huddersfield, Liverpool and Swansea. I'm sure they'd have been hoping to get a decent chunk of their points target on the board early on. Administrator Stan Posted August 26, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted August 26, 2017 Will take a draw at HT. As expected, there's been a lot of Utd possession and we're forcing them to cross from wide which, when we have bodies back, is relatively easy to defend. Pogba getting a lot of time on the ball in the middle though and one of those shots will go flying in at this rate. He's come very close. We just need to keep possession a bit more in the final third. Slow down the game a bit more and stop them getting in to their rhythm. They're closing us down far too easy. Mahrez to his credit has done well in supporting Simpson down the right hand side. Like against Arsenal, subs will be very key. Well done to the linesman as well for getting the Mata offside call correct. Left leg was in offside position so correctly flagged.
