I will determine how Aussie you are, my current memory suggests you are moderately Aussie.

Maybe after a cheeky 150 Lashes or Newtowner you will turn into an extremist

Mate, I thought that was teh fucking bees knees when I was 18. Now I've had so many more beers it just didn't taste like much last time. Just kinda like I thought Guinness was the thickest heaviest beer in the world but now it tastes watery to some other stuff I drink.

Fuck off posh, I've been called many things but posh ain't one 😂

Newtowner is a Sydney lager/pale ale/whatever you want. They sell it in Melbourne, it's nice.

I am partial to a 150 lashes and I like Little Creatures but not drunk a lot, gunna go to the brewery though

Haha it's strange how beer tastes can change. Some beers I thought were amazing at 18, I now really don't have time for at 28. And vice versa. I'm back in Japan (I taught here previously) and am gonna go mad with the craft beers. Some good shite here!

You taught in Australia? I thought you were in Japan teaching English to the Japanese, while parading around the countryside of Japan whoring yourself out to spinsters?

Being a Boltonian who has lived here all my life (barring a couple of years in Sheffield), incredibly, I don't sound like Peter Kay OR Paddy McGuinness.

I've got a hybrid Bolton/Salfordian accent that sounds alarmingly similar to Jason Manford. People living south of say, Luton, would probably say Kay and Manford sound the same, but you regard saveloy as edible so you can fuck yourselves.

Interestingly, my Coventry-born missus says that my accent becomes McGuinness-esque when I'm talking about football with more broad Boltonians in the pub.

Football. It maaakes yer saound thick.

And we have our own word that makes a mockery of English grammar, 'fot'.

'I need fot gou't' shop' =

'I need for to go to the shop' =

'I need to go to the shop'

B|

It's a strange dialectal quirk that doesn't seem to happen in neighbouring Bury, Blackburn, Wigan or Salford, yet is as common as poverty within the Bolton town limits.

You sure you’re not confusing Brummies with Black Country folk. There’s will be polished because they’re on Tv but Ozzy is considered a strong accent. Troy deeney is a strong accent to.

It’s gotta be Black Country, It borders Brum but isn’t Brum, except central west side Smethwick, way which is where West Brom are (baggies are 2/3rds inside the city limits)

The West Midlands is like what Greater Manchester is actual Birmingham is different to the Black Country, I can tell the difference between a person from Dudley & Wolverhampton etc.

Ozzy doesn't have a brushed up accent. Definitely not haha. But the other 2 do.

I thought we already established on the old forum that you sounded like Remtrex mate?

This was my some of my sound back in the late 90’s early 00’s when I was 15-16 we used to score weed off my mates older brother and chill out in his flat which ran a pirate radio station. I’ve got stoned with all these characters at least once or twice back then, literally sat for hours in a council flat stoned off my face playing Gran Tourismo on a ps2 against these lads. I still see the MSI DJ every now & then.

I’ve said before on this forum Mike Skinner used to do a little dj set but his mommy would have to drop him off and he had to be escorted up the tower block because he was scared. He’s a fucking fraud who took a lot of others ideas and styles ran off to London and made it happen for himself. The block on his original pirate material is lifted, the guy who was going to do it lived in the flat and said he would have a picture of the block.

I’ve not smoked since I was 23-24 and I don’t listen to grime or current hip hop but I understood every wood remtrex said when I googled him just. I’m so out of it now though mate I don’t know who’s blowing up or what not. A lot of my mates from that scene and associated with the 90/00’s Brum hip hop all seem to be involved with Eatgood. I’ve not met sonny personally but a few mates rave about him.

He’s ok needs to change up his tone a bit like someone in the comments said.

I used to listen to them a bit myself mate back then as I was introduced to them by a lad when I was in my late teens.

There was also a bunch from Wolverhampton, but I've forgot their names. In terms of midlands rappers, my favourites were always Universal soliders to be honest, they were from Nottingham.

The likes of Remtrex are more like street gangs than lyrical rappers to be honest xD. I don't really listen to them, I've just heard them before and came across him(Remtrex) a while ago on youtube. I'm more into my 90s US hip hop and older UK hip hop from the early to mid 00s myself.

Mate all the little wannabe gangsters talk like Remtrex in Brum. Knowing Brum he’s probably named after a bus stop
