Ugarte with a 96th minute winner via Gustavo Torres and the team from Puno suffered to get their first win in a game they were expected to breeze.

Municipal Yanahuanca 0-0 Leon de Huanuco @Stan

Leon de Huanuco got a valious draw in Cerro de Pasco at 4000 metres above sea level. Despite having a much superior squad, they'll take the result given how tough it is to play up there.

Laure Sur 1-0 AEB @The Palace Fan

Similar to Alfonso Ugarte, Defensor were made to struggle and suffer, but in the end got the win against a weak AEB team. Christian Cuadros the scorer.

Alianza Universidad 2-1 Municipal Aguaytia @Dan

A relatively comfortable win for Alianza Universidad who scored via Kevin Villafuerte and Jhony Leiva. Municipal got a last minute consolation but it was too little too late.

UDA 4-0 Escuela JTR @nudge

UDA did what the others couldn't do and walked their first game against a young Escuela JTR team from Huancayo.

Molinos el Pirata 4-1 Parachique @RandoEFC

Like UDA, they got the job with a hattrick via Yoffre Vasquez, Atletico Grau's main goalscorer last season. Unlike UDA, Molinos are one of the favourites to win the tournament.

Estudiantil CNI 1-0 Bellavista @Gunnersauraus

Estudiantil CNI won against a strong Bellavista side. The bronze medalists from last year get off to a good start by winning in their home ground.

Bellavista FC vs Bagua Grande @Mel81x 

Bellavista will look to get a big win here against an inferior Bagua Grande team after a disappointing first loss against Estudiantil CNI.

Sipesa FC vs Alianza Universidad @Dan 

Sipesa will be hungry for a result after falling to Racing Huamachuco, and with home advantage they will go at it. The visitors still the firm favourites for this game though.

Leon de Huanuco vs Colegio Comercio @Stan 

Leon perhaps slight favourites for this, in a game where both teams will need the 3 points. Comercio are from the amazon and have a lot of players from Sport Loreto's winning squad in 2015. Still, home advantage should rule the day.

Venus Huacho got a really important point in Huaraz against a strong Sport Ancash, and will likely slaughter the Callao champions here.

After a solid start, Defensor Laure Sur will need to see if they are able to hold on in the altitude of Pasco, being one of the highest cities in the world at 4000 metres above sea level.

Minsa FBC vs Alfonso Ugarte @SirBalon 

Alfonso Ugarte favourites to win this against arguably the weakest team in the competition.

Hijos de Altiplano vs Sportivo Huracan @Eco 

Diego Escuza and co are favourites to win this clash against Moquegua runner ups. Not expected to be a game of high quality especially for this tier, but the away team are favourites.

Municipal Aguaytia vs Estudiantil CNI @Gunnersauraus 

After a good start, Estudiantil have another game they should breeze. Aguaytia were quite defensive in the first game but being at home they might open up.

San Cristobal de Casaorcco vs UDA @nudge

The home team impressed away to FC Retamoso on the weekend, but regardless UDA should be able to handle them.
