Whatever your stance on politics is it not great that that number is so high? Obviously could be much higher but Corbyn seems to have finally inspired younger people to vote even if it wasn't for his own party. despite the despicable smear campaign against her in the media, she managed to increase her majority by 10k I was up til 4am! I don't think so no as Harvz said yesterday "I've heard similar from older swing voters I know. It's people old enough to remember socialist trade unions bringing the country to a grinding halt that are staying away from Corbyn. The young don't have that perception or experience so think that anyone not voting Corbyn must be an evil cunt." That a bunch of marxists got this far shows that indoctrination through the institutions has taken hold. For example the hammer & sickle in a school, that's not a good thing at all, the tens of millions dead around the globe should attest to that. There's a massive difference between socialism and social democracy, the young are just voting for Corbyn out of sheer indoctrinated zealotry in part. This place is a great example, I'm the only one with the bollocks to say I'm a Tory but law of averages would suggest I'm not alone on this forum as Tories are the biggest party in the UK. Socially though you can't admit that without people making presumptions about you (racist, homophobe, cold, heartless, bigoted, sexist no doubt?) which are often negative. That's extremely not healthy for a democracy, that one side is completely socially vilified for their opinions and the oppressive side completely overlook their own faults I think is tragic, regardless of the party you support. It's good that more people are engaged but bad because the majority don't really understand what they're voting for, the fact MacDonald thinks they can form a minority government as "some Tories might agree" shows how devoid of reality they really are. Zealotry is a hard thing to tackle verbally, we're all poorer no matter what you're political ideology if this doesn't change.
Honey Honey
Whilst there is this wave of what a great result by Corbyn attitude, in reality he hasn't even got remotely near any clear power and has been clearly rejected They're still not a party of government and would need a rainbow coalition just to be allowed to do anything. This election just guarantees excessive goodies for northern Ireland or Scotland paid for by unborn generations.

Theresa May has been clearly rejected and the turn we've witnessed in the UK from when she called the General Election is MASSIVE! I think the fact we had Brexit, a man like Trump was given power, France and everything else that's been happening in politics in such a small period of time has kind of put a numbing effect on this result. Only a Corbyn victory would've continued to inject that drug into people's veins fir them to maintain their fix of amazement. The result we have this morning in the United Kingdom is a bloody miracle!
Honey Honey
The 4 main party's have all performed badly. It is just because Labour avoided being spanked that it is being framed as good. The conservatives just got their highest vote share since 1979 but it is useless. The elephant in the room is that ordinary people aren't paying enough tax and neither party will admit it so we have these two polarising dumb manifesto's. We've seen the collapse of UKIP & SNP and those votes split amongst the two main parties. Labour vote is also up so have took Tory seats in marginals. Corbyn has done better but has lost, him claiming he's won just shows how delluded he actually is. I'd bet good money you're the type that's swayed by the energy given out by Corbyn's performing to favourable crowds in heartland areas to give off an appearance of momentum. Dave
Given the arrogance Teresa May displayed from not joining in debates, the dementia tax in her manifesto, and her refusal to change her stance on cutting funds when it comes to the public services despite three terrorist attacks, has all contributed to one of the worst election campaigns. She thought this was a cert and Brexit would be the only talking point, and quite frankly she got what she deserved. Also great to see Murdoch's propaganda campaign take another hit. They've been an absolute disgrace. After what happened with Brexit and Trump you'd think they wouldn't have taken such a one sided approach to alienate people. God bless the power of the internet to spread information.

The reason she called the election was because she thought she was going to have some sort of humiliating whitewash in a possible election. She said for months she would not be calling General Elections and the constant polls being posted by the media finally drew her into it so as she could enjoy total power in her negotiations with Brussels. That HASN'T occurred and what has happened is almost the opposite. I know why the votes are up, but we have a hung parliament when she thought it was going to be an easy ride. What's got me excited is the fact that the country is totally split down the middle from the Brexit vote to this rushed General Election. It shows many things and that's what I'm excited about. It's a disaster for May, to lose such a commanding lead because she was massively complacent. It's going to cost her the leadership by 2022 for definite now. The countries not split down the Middle on Brexit, both the two main Parties are now for Brexit. They differ on the type of deal they'll seek hard Brexit being the winner as DUP are pro Brexit to. The Lib Dems are remain and they're down but have gained more seats as UKIP are now redundant.

Honey Honey
You've got to give credit to Corbyn for his Brexit stance, he has won UKIP voters by promising that he will control low skilled immigration. However there will be many on the left wanting to play with fire and betray the working classes who returned to Labour.

Honey Honey
Of course she will stay in power, otherwise it would be yet another Tory running the country without having stood as leader in the election.
