True Blue Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Hope we can get a win to get some momentum, however i think we will find it harder than people or fans expect it. After the break we will have some big players returning and additional options available which is always good.
Administrator Stan Posted August 30, 2019 Author Administrator Posted August 30, 2019 Hopefully we can go in to this game playing more of our 'natural' game and being a bit more free-flowing and attacking, utilising Maddison and Tielemans as well as some wider play if Barnes starts. I can't imagine Bournemouth will be as defensive as Wolves, Newcastle & Sheff Utd have been in previous games. Evans will come back in with Soyuncu. I think Perez may be dropped for this one as much as I want him to get his first goal for us - he needs it for his confidence already as he's playing like he's trying too hard. Some things just not coming off for him right now. If he does get dropped, Barnes or Albrighton should come in, preferably the former. Could see Ndidi come in for Choudhury but I hope we don't go with 2 DMs. I don't think there's a need for it, not least at home and it lends itself to naturally being more defensive. Kasper Ricardo - Evans - Soyuncu - Fuchs Ndidi Maddison - Tielemans Barnes - Vardy - Perez
Subscriber Dan+ Posted August 31, 2019 Subscriber Posted August 31, 2019 I'd take that XI if he named it now too. I'm already really concerned about our lack of width and think it's going to make us too easy to defend against. Could be teething problems but I've not been particularly impressed by our performances so far. I called in the summer that we were too light in some areas. It seems to be a bit of an ongoing thing for us - we always have good players, but often without a real balance. Bournemouth play a very open game though so we may see something from the likes of Tielemans and Perez in this, you would hope.
Cicero Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Same lineup from us, with the exception of Tomori for Christensen.
DNA Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 I'd be more confident in a surprise result against the other big 6, as Frank won't underestimate us.

The Artful Dodger Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Abraham boss against championship quality.

Cicero Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Need width but limited on options with Pedro injured and Willian being gash. Been fortunate with the goals but we’ve had some beautiful link up on the final third.
Bluewolf Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Our starting 11 today is our youngest since the Premier league started...
Fairy In Boots Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Palace are just such a frustrating side to play against, 10 men behind the ball and rely on breaking quickly or set pieces. Just makes games so scrappy and awful to watch
Bluewolf Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Glad we had that 2 goal lead with our dodgy defence... concentration for the full 90 minutes is not our strong point
Cicero Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Been conceding a lot of goals on Azpilicueta’s side for a while now. How times have changed. Switching off at the beginning of the 2nd still an issue
Fairy In Boots Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Kevin friend is obviously a friend of palace every little decision had been given to Palace and really soft yellow cards and now a red card for Trezequet
Bluewolf Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Which Willian are we going to get today I wonder??
Michael Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Beautiful second goal by Yarmolenko for West Ham. Yarmolenko has been excellent today for the Hammers.
Bluewolf Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Shame to see us get to the final third then let a sloppy bit of play ruin it...
Fairy In Boots Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 We’ve been poor today and the ref has spoiled this from word go, finally started booking palace players now but he’s almost apologetic when he does, awful.
