It's very early days but this Chelsea side under Lampard look to have all of the hallmarks of a young Pep/Klopp team. The attacking setup which remains surprisingly solid at the back and players playing above the level that you could reasonably expect, particularly young players who are playing beyond what should be their current rate of development. Top drawer.

The masturbating over tory Frank is unbearable. They finished third last year. Anything less is a decline.

Sarri did a far, far better job than people give him credit for.

Sarri did do well but let's not forget the Hazard factor that Chelsea have had to get over as well.

Just got in from work, when I left we were 4 up and get home and we have conceded 2 in the last 10 minutes?? Were we a little complacent in the dying minutes?? have to watch the game later..

Nice hat trick for Pulisic, couldn't really ask more from him today than that.. great response to getting back in the side

This requires a slightly longer response than I am willing to give at the moment but will come back to it later after I have had something to eat..

Jay scored a howler there and i think Chelsea did turn off for a few minutes which is okay i think considering they are a young team and it didnt hurt the end result.

Lampard deserves credit. He's had to rely on youth and has got them playing some great football. Still defensive worries at times but they're attacking and free-flowing play should be commended.

I'm a hairs breadth away from going out to buy lube.

Honestly he has worked wonders there imo, when you consider how other side's have fared after losing their crown jewel player to one of the Spanish big two over the past decade... Suarez, Bale, Ronaldo, Fabregas, etc.

This game reminded me of Wolves away, complete control cruising 0-4 and then we just either stop or took their attacks too lightly. Conceded twice in a few minutes which is never good. We still got the points and still key player to return like Rudiger and Kante. When all fit Lampard will have a lot of options to pick from. Pulisic was given a chance for his good sub appearances against Newcastle and Ajax and boy did he took the chance. Scored a perfect hat trick and in general played really well. Obviously he and Odoi will be the future wingers as they are both young already good players with loads of potential to become even better. Two points of second and seven wins in a row, we will obviously have periods where we won't be getting result but this current form and this atmosphere around the club and this potential is something to smile about.
