Here in Düsseldorf it depends on which part of the city as well. Here you get 0.2l Altbier für 1,20-30 €, and if it's one of the "Hausbrauereien" like Füchschen 1,50-60 €. In the Altstadt (city center/party mile), you pay around about 5 € for 0,5l.

Depends on the city/town we´re talking about, in Saarbrücken a 0.4 Liter glas of Pils is between 2.5 and 3 Euro.

It's similar to the Intha fishermen in Burma who have a weird technique of using huge cone-shaped nets while standing on the stem of the boat and paddling with one leg. They turn to being tourist attraction as well, simply because fish supply and sales are falling due to commercial trawling.
